i looked for reviews on the net but found none - Russell Hobbs is a decent brand so i gave this a punt for other half's b'day prezzie. Will report back when it's been used.

Anyone have any experience of Russell Hobbs blenders?

Maybe there are no comments because the two parts of the header cancel each other out, namely:

Russell Hobbs: ok brand name, probably good value

Gillian McKeith: batty irritating harpy known for flogging weird herbs and poking people's poo.

I'd vote hot but I can't bring myself to endorse anything associated with that organic snake oil sales-witch.

My sentiments exactly, that's why i didn't buy the nice slow cooker feature here some weeks ago.

i think it's an awesome deal.. just threw out my £3 blender (made pumpkin soup, was making some noises and I didn't wanna clean it)... perfect replacement for a good price too ... thanks.

Bought one of these at a supermarket special clearance thing earlier this year, for cheaper than this - about £17 if I recall correctly. Wasn't much good to be honest. Too small and limited capacity and not powerful enough to chop much. Did OK for making baby food. We didn't use it for vigorous tasks, yet it still felt the need to explode only three months after purchase. I would vote Hot for the saving, yet I must vote cold because it's a piece of ****.

Mine has just blown up after 8 months.

I'd go for the replacement under guarantee but my wife doesn't have the receipt / credit card statement :x

Nice one

Mine just blew up after 2 days - they have no replacements

Though after reading this thread that's probably a good thing.
