Used microwave?

WTF? It's a metal box. What's wrong with a used microwave?? Do you not work in a office/factory and share a microwave? Honestly don't understand this.
The fact that its a Russell Hobbs is more of a problem than it being 'used'
We bought a Russell Hobbs microwave from Amazon Warehouse 2 weeks ago. £80 brand new, £35 through warehouse. Only thing wrong with it was the fact it didn't haven Russell Hobbs carton package, it was sent in an unbranded plain cardboard box. Every component was factory sealed and not a mark on the microwave itself. In fact, the instruction manual was missing, rang them for a copy and they pointed me to an online manual but refunded £12 for the inconvinience (There offer, not my request). So only cost me £25 delivered in the end. Cant fault the service of product provided. HEAT.
I’ve had 2 microwaves from amazon warehouse deals, one was faulty on arrival and the other blew up after a month or so. I certainly wouldn’t risk another one
Lol @ some of the comments.

I use a used microwave someone sold me on Facebook... You don't eat off the microwave plate, do you? As long as it's clean it's fine.
There was a microwave already in my rented house that was used and then broke... Used it without problems for as long as it functioned fine.

And these are not used... They're returns.
When you purchase from Amazon warehouse and its fulfilled by Amazon is it just 30 days warranty return or is it longer?
I got my sister a very similar Russell Hobbs 20L/800W Microwave Used - Very Good for £11-odd about a year ago - makes a bit of a din in use (noisier than other microwaves, though it said so in reviews). It was in perfect nick, just the packaging was a bit dinged.

Be aware 20L is teeny-tiny, so ensure you know your measurements.

Nothing wrong with Amazon Warehouse at all, but be prepared for some disappointments on the way.

It's always 30 days. It doesn't change.

From experience and long term purchasing from Amazon Warehouse - not quite. I have had items longer than this that have stopped working or not been fit for purchase and I would say you probably have up to a year, depending what the item is and what condition you bought it in.

You get the same Amazon Customer Service, in general, though sometimes you will get a Customer Service agent try to partially refund. So, just be persistent and talk to another.

I'm talking about returning an item. They only extend the return window around Christmas. Officially they give you 30 days.

They have to supply the normal warranty as all retailers do. I'm sure in some cases they do exceptions depending on who you speak to for returns as well.

I am too. If it's faulty or there's something wrong with it you can still discuss it with Live Chat beyond the 30 days. And I've been buying from Amazon Warehouse for years. They don't just ignore you or say they can't help - they try to offer a solution.

Obviously it depends on your reasons. But I even returned an unopened, Used - Like New, unwanted gift I had here (nappy changing bag) beyond 30 days as it turned out the mum-to-be bought a Silver Cross pram set which included one already. Amazon were absolutely fine about it.

I'm looking at microwaves as mine just broke down. What's wrong with Russell Hobbs? They are priced same as any other brands
