I had one of these given to me last Christmas and it is the worst toaster I have ever had. I can't toast a slice of bread properly without using it on highest setting and pushing the lever down a second time for a few second more.
I couldn't take it back as I had no receipt.

I may have been unlucky as all the reviews I have read online have been good.

Thanks for that. I'll give it a miss.
i've had one or 6 months get really nice golden toast at setting 4-5. Warburtons is a little too tall so need to turn round and use reheat for the last 1cm. Nice crispy crumpets at full whack.

Seems you were unlucky.
Price is cheaper than usual, but Russell Hobbs has always been crap quality IME.

Used to be a step up from morphy richards etc which was the cheap tat stuff. Strangely that's been reversed

I got it this xmas. Only need it set to 1 to toast. Works great.
How does this compare to the RH Windsor model currently selling in Currys for £19?
Heat, because it’s a toaster. That’s what they do.
Great timing. My toaster just packed in today.
Have to agree. Russell Hobbs products are terrible the toaster we bought last year gets unbelievably hot on the outside and it's always tough getting the bread out.

Had a food processor which stopped working and customer service was arrogent and terrible. I

I've got the Windsor model along with the Windsor kettle, both of which work well, though the kettle is noisy but not a big deal. Not sure about the Winchester model but can't imagine them being all that different
I bought the toaster and kettle. Used the recent vouchers they gave me too. Excellent. Thanks Chanchi.

I’ve just bought the Windsor kettle and toaster so will find o
Just bought this toaster from currys. It’s absolutely . Even on the hottest setting the toast comes out anemic!(skeptical)
Picked mine up today - the turn dials and pull-down knobs are cheap silver-painted plastic and look poor. My last (Breville) toaster was black moulded quality plastic and that toaster lasted me years. Can't see the same happening with this RH one. You get what you pay for.

Anemic?

A symptom of being anemic is paleness

Thanks for the heads up, I prefer my toast to be much like the skin tone of He Man

Ordered!
Hello. I would like to enquire whether this toaster is able to take the Warburton giant crumpets?

can anyone else confirm this.?
My kettles suddenly started leaking and toaster has just packed up!
Debating this vs the breville deal but it seems from the comments the russell hobbs stuff seems to be poor quality? (even though the breville kettle toaster deal only comes with a 12 months warranty)
It seems like the item I received is not as shown in the picture. I just got a Westminster toaster with cheap black plastic round knobs and small oval buttons. It has the model number 23543, unlike the one on the Argos page I ordered (22405). Is this the newer version of the item?32959012-qJPPX.jpg32959012-XWyWq.jpg32959012-XLEvF.jpg

Now you've mentioned it, I've got the same one as yours. It's decent for £18. If it lasts me three years, great. If not, it's covered anyway so I get it repaired/a new one?
