Ordered, with 15% voucher....cheaper than me renting one of those floor sanders for the day, nice sized room done for about £100... thanks.

Im interested in this , has anybody got this?

not yet, but just been to wickes to check it out prior to ordering. Looks and feels nice, and no bevelling means a nice smooth finish. was maybe a tiny more brown in colour than it appears in picture, but it could have just been the harsh lighting in the shop.

Thanks.

I got this before xmas with a 20% off voucher, it looks great, looks more expensive and was eay to put together, it just clicks in place, everyone v impressed with it

not that price onlin

bought £220 worth so a good saving on this and the underlay. Thanks OP anyone in any doubt, it looks great very expencive and has a nice finish on it to make it feel like real wood.:-D

is the underlay essential and what was the reason you opted for it?

Looks really nice! A lot more expensive than the cheaper ones. Looking at getting my floor done sometime soon, I'll be thinking about it! H&R =]

Underlay keeps the noise down a little, especially on an upstairs floor, also smooths out any bumps, and probably makes the laminate last a bit longer.

what sort of underlay should you get with this?

it depends on what floor your laying it on, and how much you want to spend. They all do the same thing really. However on concrete floors you need a waterproof membrane as well as a cushion-y underlay such as foam. Just floor boards you can use foam (cheapest) or fibreboard.

Personally I've always used the bog standard laminate floor underlay - never been a problem.

Is this much different, it is only £3.90 a square metre? : wickes.co.uk/Lam…233

cheers mate:thumbsup:

Just off to have a look at it now. Hoping its as nice as what you guys say! :P

looks good

does this have v-groove?

Just been to wickes to have a look, looks really ncie! Nicer than the real wood flooring too, they have matching t-bars and Scotia but they're pretty expensive.

The cheapest place I've found for foam underlay is ebay, £25 for 50m2 including delivery, they also have scotia beading at a fraction of the cost of wickes too, £1.69 per 2.44 meter unlike the £5-7 at wickes. I've managed to price up three large rooms for just £300 including all accessories! Bargain for a decent laminate =]

No it doesn't when butted together the surface is completely flat other than the texture of the 'wood'

great find and thanks for the ebay info. is this stuff a lot better than the cheap wickes range?wickes.co.uk/Lam…233

It depends what look you want really, the rustic dark road does look a lot more expensive than the cheaper ones though!

is it essential to put down foam underlay? or is this more for soundproofing reasons?
