Seems to be a limited number of routes mainly uk to ireland and a few others ,plenty of seets from gatwick - dublin for 1p.

Although it says no taxes and charges by the time you get to the checkout it adds around £160 in charges. So not exactly free, but it is cheap

COLD because of this

Banned

voted hot, these deals are always a good excuse for a jolley, just got to look for a deal, i went to dublin at the weekend for £4 return for 2 adults,

a great day out xx

I have booked these before.. infact the recent £1 sale.. i have booked to go to italy for £2 return.. and no taxes..

it does say no taxes ect as well.. Awesome deal iof you ask me!

awesome...you can take a small case onboard the flight ..so no baggage checkin fees and online check in for free.....so if you have an electron card you get to milan or brussels for 2p each...so no way can anyone vote this cold.

Phew.....my heart skipped a beat when I saw this post as I'd booked flights last night! But, no we are ok - prices still the same today.

Trouble is if I'd have booked 10days ago when I first started looking then I'd have been £50 better off.............................:x

Haven't flown anywhere for a couple of years & can't believe all the "extras" the try to add on these days - what a rip off. Thought I'd got away with no extra chrges, but NO, they still managed to add on an extra £8 each for "handling fee".

Great deal if you DO actually manage to get a "free" flights & avoid all the "extra" charges.

i have found loads of fee seats but all have taxes and charges added on

Just been on and only certain flights are available with no charges...just keep looking, you will find them...heres one I found a minute ago: Leeds Bradford to Barcelone in November for 1 week for £4!!!!!

I can never understand this argument. For the sake of a little bit of effort you can get an Electron card to avoid the card charges. Most people I would have thought use Ryanair for weekend breaks, business trips and the like so hand luggage is normally sufficient for your needs (unless you're a woman of course ;-) ). I've made it out to numerous weekend breaks to Barcelona, Milan, Turin, Madrid (you getting the footy drift) and never paid more than 30 quid for a flight. See how far 30 quid gets you in a cab or train in the uk or how far that much petrol gets you.

It's easy to bitch and moan about Ryanair's charging structure but with a little sacrifice and effort you can get halfway across europe and back for a couple of quid...! If Ryanair stopped these deals and employed the easyjet model, you'd all be moaning so they can't win...!

Off to Dublin this afternoon from Manchester - 2 people 1p each way = 4p. Payment Charge for using card = £4.80. Booked back in June.

These seem to be pretty regular offers now throught the year.
The trick is to fly in the week Mon-Thurs, find the flights advertised as 'NO TAXES' 0.01p. Then don't take any baggage in the hold - Hand luggage only 10kg. Don't select insurance or proirity seating etc.

You got more chance of finding flights to Dublin because they fly there more regularly.

Does anyone know why Ryanair don't fly to Greece?

Don't forget quidco! ;-)

£16 card handling fees if for 2 people return if you don't have a Visa Electron card. i.e. if your over 13 years old your still forking out. Nevertheless, it's a very good deal, there are £0.01 flights in there, just a shame they're all to cold places, haha. So here's a bit of heat to warm ye up!

Quidco?? lol.

I just booked 8 of us to go to Dublin in November for a day trip, 16p!

Had to do a bit of mucking about with dates to find one with no taxes. But managed to find some to Italy, Bournemouth and Germany from Glasgow/Edinburgh. If you find someone who has Visa Electron you pay NO card fees to. Hence the reason ive got 8 flights for 16p!

Happy Hunting

Just booked 4 return flights for a daytrip to Dublin - 8p all in with Visa Electron!

ffs get a VISA ELECTRON card then. I applied online with my bank and got it the following week, all you need to do is open a standard card cash type account.

very very nice.....

Both Halifax & Co-op offer visa electron card, just open a basic account with them.

How do you get £160 in charges! Lol!

I have booked an EDI-BOH (Bournemouth) as the airport at Hurn is minutes away from my relatives. Even at £8.02 each for a return it is a bargain!

Just hope they run the flight as this will be day 2 of the new EDI-BOH service and they have already pushed the launch date back 6 weeks!

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I booked 2 return flights from Birmingham to Derry airport for November and I got the flights for 4p!
Gave up trying to find deal dates on the website and rang Ryanair in Dublin to find some departure and return dates which had no charges.
You can use Cheap calls to get an 0844 number which will allow you to do this for 0.5 ppm.
(If you use www.saynoto0870.com you can find the Dublin landline number.)
The American lady who answered for Ryanair was very helpful and found me two dates in the deal.
It then took me about 2 hours on the Ryanair website to actually book the tickets due to their website constantly trying anything it could to prevent me even though I got through to the final payment screen 4 times and entered my card details.
Finally Ryanair charged me 2 debit card booking fees of £8 each even though I only made one booking for both of us and used a debit, not a credit, card.
Not complaining, still got 2 return flights for £16.04 which is a bargain.
I just wish they wouldn't make it so hard to make what is basically a simple booking.
Watch out for their attempts to get you to buy hold baggage, insurance, priority seating, etc.
Voted Hot!!

Still got an electron for an account with Barclays that I don't really use, so flights to dublin for 4 pence, just stay over for a night cos we were there last year for 3 days.

Just hope nothing comes up that week.

I got charged £16 too even though it said 4p at the checkout, whats going on?

They charge you £4 per person per flight unless you pay by Visa Electron

Booked to Dublin on 13th Dec for some last minute shopping

Went for a day trip to Milan last year on one of these deals, although tempted to get a Visa Electron just for these...

lol if you open yourself a nice electron account whack a fiver in there you sould be able to get nice weekend breaks til 2050 lol

I opened an account with the co-op just to get an electron card for times like this but they sent us a Maestro card as congratulations for having a good credit rating, D'oh!

Shame not over Xmas

Probably a daft question but do you need passports to go to Dublin from Edinburgh/GLasgow?

not at the moment, you can use photo id such as a photo driving license
heard a rumour that this is set to change soon tho but not sure? check on ryanair site, info should be on there

I don't know, I didn't do it... can anybody tell me how I can un-expire the post?

They don't cancel for multiple bookings do they? I've booked a couple of different flights so can see nearer the time if it's a day trip or if there's a cheap hotel going

so how do you do a online check in .... can someone please advise me

You need a passport or official photo ID. I think that as UK citizens don't YET have a national ID card then you will require your passport. Under 16's accompanied by an adult don't though. It is explained on T&C's on Ryanair website but isn't the easiest to understand! Lots of ifs and buts!

I can't understand HUKDs going to DUBLIN (of all places!) for shopping.

Firstly, it is one of the (if not THE) most expensive cities in Europe. Secondly, it uses the Euro, which has a very bad exchange rate against Sterling at present.

Don't get me wrong, Dublin is a beautiful Georgian city with much to do and see and the people are usually kindly and courteous. Just don't expect a "cheap day out" - regardless of how much you paid for your flight.
