And you have to pay around 30€ from Hahn Apt to Frankfurt and around 2 hours/way.

You can also go to cologne from this airport to.
bus transfers are about 13 quid and it takes about 90 mins, its actually not a bad little journey. there's also a hotel b&b right next to the airport incase you have to stay overnight if you have to catch an early flight in the morning (the hotel b&b are really decent value for money to be fair)
i think the reason these are so cheap now is cos ryanair now fly direct into frankfurt main.
Ryanair now flies to Frankfurt international hence no one wants to fly to Hahn anymore which is in the middle of no where.
I’m due to fly with Ryanair on Monday. This time I’m not wanting to pay the extra charges like reserving seats and priority boarding as it works out more expensive. Anyways question is. What do I do with my luggage before the flight. Do I go to the boarding gate and someone takes it off me just as we’re about to board the plane? Thanks

Generally, your baggage will get it's tag whilst you're standing in line at the gate (staff walk up the line as you are waiting) and you then carry your luggage right up to the plane - and hand it over to the guys waiting there.
At the other end, it comes through in the carousel with all the checked bags etc.
A bit of friendly advice from someone who has frequently done this...
REMEMBER do NOT slip your passports into your suitcase after security as you will not get your bag again until AFTER you have passed security at the other side!
(You may wonder how anyone could be so ridiculous.... that'd be me - and I was travelling alone with my three young children... nightmare!!)

Go to the gate as normal with your carry on bag, once you’ve got to the steps which go on to the plane there will be a few baggage handlers there with a trolly asking you to place upon it. Then all you do is collect it at the baggage reclaim at the following airport. Remember to take out your passport.
