Ryanair seat sale 1 million seats for €19.85 / £15 from 00:01 on 8th July 2015

The airline is marking the 30th anniversary of its first flight by launching a special birthday seat sale - with a whopping ONE MILLION seats on sale across the entire network for just €19.85.

Travel fans need to set their alarms for 0.01am tomorrow - Wednesday July 8 - when the sale kicks off, and it will close on Sunday July 12 at midnight
The flights on sale are for travel between September 2015 and the end of January 2016.

Chief Marketing Officer for Ryanair, Kenny Jacobs said: "Wednesday, 8th July marks the 30th anniversary of Ryanair’s first flight from Waterford to Gatwick and to celebrate and thank our customers, we’re going back to 1985 – with one million seats on sale for just €19.85.
"These €19.85 fares go on sale on the Ryanair.com website from Wednesday, with a million seats available across our entire network for travel between September and the end of January, which must be booked on the Ryanair.com website by midnight Sunday (12th July)."

There is nothing on Ryanair.com yet about it so...

Here is the source I got the information from

irishmirror.ie/lif…467

If anyone isn't keen on paying more for check-in luggage than the actual flight, check out sendmybag.com - they organise pickup of your luggage and use DHL to deliver it to your destination, super handy!
No hoofing around a heavy suitcase and no queuing for an age at the check-in desk.
They even have a trial going on at the moment where you can select a smaller window for pickup times.

Example quote: £25 for up to 20KG/£26 for up to 30KG to Ireland. I used the 30KG option and saved £24 over Ryanair's price.

Good luck - let us know if they are !

I don't think I'll bother setting the alarm, I'll just go to bed a few minutes later....

Thanks for the heads up though!

Hopefully they're decent flights on offer!!

any flights to Thailand

They've done deals like this before for this price and £25 for European cities one way. Can't see them doing much more than that again on this offer. Hope I'm wrong though!

Halfway there and a one way ticket only!

but they always DON'T make the lucrative routes as cheap as the common ones

mine happens to be a very profitable one for them and discounts are rubbish

Nope - they don't do any longhaul !!
Check Ryanair.com for their routes

Is this 1 way or return? This may not be that cheap. As an example, the Dublin routes to Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester are £9.99 if you book 6-9 weeks ahead ao would be cheaper. Obviously this deal is good if you want to book well ahead or a normally expensive route.

Fly me To The Moon.

Button Moon.

Be back soon.

If I can get a weekend - 3/4 days budapest return for £25 I'll be so happy. Went to Prague in January for the weekend and I loved it. Such a great way to see other countries if you can't afford the grands it costs to go backpacking.

found return flights £40 all in but only on 'pensioner' slots

A million seats for €19.85?

Each? Or is some poor swine going to shell out €20 to spend the rest of eternity flying between provincial airports with no feeling in their legs, kept awake by the braying of spray-tanned stewardesses and surviving on a diet of €4 Twix bars and drinking Paco Rabanne stench-pour-homme?

I'm 23. I still have a little student in me. I'd fly standing if the ticket was cheap enough. What time I fly means nothing to me. To be honest, I prefer the unsociable hours. Less traffic. Less crying babies.

Oh good... a purpose to my nightshift tonight after all! X)

Oh... except Ryanair are only booking as far as next spring, and I've used all my leave until next May. Meh.

I'd rather walk, bloody Ryanair. 11 hour delay to Mallorca in May due to adverse weather conditions. It didn't stop any of the other airlines around them operating. Never again.

Good deal, though I wouldnt even take free tickets with Ryan Air. We went with a 2 year old, and three of had to sit separately, not one person moved, our son was sat across the aisle from his mum and me about 6 rows back between a couple, one who wanted a window seat and one who wanted an aisle seat. So I had to move seats if my wife wanted to go to the bathroom!
Since that trip, we avoid Ryan Air. Great I imagine if your travelling on your own, companions you dont care about, or willing to split up a family, just cos you got to your seats first.

Ryanair is allocated seating now - if you want to guarantee together its £8 each in advance or free if you want to checkin 2 days before and hope there are seats available together

Why should people move its entirely you own fault. Like you say it is possible to prebook seats so don't see what grounds you have to complain. This is the same way most airlines operate. Pay to guarantee seats next to each other, or take the risk with free allocated seating. Why do you feel you should get special treatment.

Can you not pay to book seats together on Ryanair?
If you got on a bus or a train, you don't expect to get seats together - brucey bonus if you do, but you have no guarantee unless you book them.

For a flight which is generally considerably longer than a bus ride, if I wanted to guarantee i sit with my travelling companion - I'd pay for it.

People may be in the "I shouldn't have to pay to sit by someone" camp - perfectly within their rights, but don't come out moaning when you don't get sat together.
Check in early and you have a better chance of getting seats together.
Again...the one time I heard grumbles around me on a flight without allocated seating was when a family of three got on having sat waiting for them to arrive on the aircraft for 20 mins and then they grumbled they were sat apart! Astounding

I'd have moved, even if you wanted my emergency exit seat
