Nice find, heat added - thanks for sharing (highfive)
I have that T-shirt as well... the number of 'backup portable hard disks' people bring me that have years of photos that are stored nowhere else is unbelievable, and I literally have no idea why when Google Photos does free storage if you enable compression (which has shown to be nearly imperceptible) as well as many others that may be easier to use but still cheap. Common sense is definitely lacking when it comes to these magic boxes of PCs and removable storage...
As an (nerd) IT support technician in a previous life I learnt a few things... in the case of looking after important files, for example using portable media only to transport them, not as their permanent and only storage place, common sense is not as common as you'd think ! (poo)
Good advice but I imagine most people just use them for transporting things quickly not long-term storage. Hope not anyway!
Maybe a good price but... REMEMBER TO BACK-UP !!!! These things are notorious for becoming damaged or corrupt.
£45.51 for Lexar S75 at BT Shop... cheaper and much faster
Oh it’s now corrected, ordered one. Yippee (highfive)
Still £59.99 when in basket.
Click & Collect from a local Ryman store, FREE
One penny short to get free delivery (annoyed)
May be a headache but at this price just cant compare it to a laser. Well you win if you can find a color laser wireless printer for even double the price (lol) HOT
Get a laser, inkjet are such a headache
Heat because I love the RRP
Haha (lol) (lol) (lol) it’s a typo
COLD because of stupid RRP £199
Thanks very much for your advice. Much appreciated.
The display!!! - Display: 39.6 cm (15.6") diagonal HD SVA anti-glare WLED-backlit (1366 x 768) They can keep throwing as many freebees as they like. For me the display destroys this as a deal
If the Intel is the I3- 7100u, there is no definitive answer. It depends what you use it for. For single core processing the Intel is better, for multimedia use the AMD with its better graphics processor is better. If it is the latest I3-8250 then the Intel wins hands down The overall performance taking all factors is about the same. Both only suitable for gaming with the minimum settings at 1080 graphics and probably not for the newest games. Both have similar power draw, but Intel allegedly runs cooler.
Sounds good. Can anybody say how this would compare against an i3 processor in real usage please?
u can use the printer for scan/copy/print whatever feature but the ink cant be from HP subscription.. i believe the ink from HP is specially designed so that the printer can identify it and stop you from using the ink when your not subscribed.. what i do is i print oncr in a while,so instead of susbscribing and paying monthly i order ink from ebay and that’ll allow me to use it
How can they do that? Can you not even Copy anything from the scanner? Unless they sent some code the chip on the ink cartridge
Same price on Amazon.
Sorry, I meant 3rd party cartridges (edited)
Oh so u cant just purchase ur own ink and use it? U'll have to install something to allow 3rd party inks??
worked fine for me. also get 10% off if you can get hold of a uni days code.
It says £24.99 on their site but as soon as you add it to the basket it goes up to £39.99
Deal back on if you want to let mods know. I snagged one yesterday. Chhers
I've got the QL-570. Works brilliantly and has never missed a beat. Good driver and software editor support as well by Brother.
thank you for posting
I would think it would be more cost effective to get a printer that prints in ink instead of thermal as I think it will work out a lot cheaper over time if you are going to be printing a lot. Or at least a more heavy duty thermal printer where the rolls of labels are a lot longer and cheaper in the long run.
I had a play with mine last night (the printer that is...lol). I've got to say I'm very impressed by the speed and quality of the prints. It prints as fast as it can spit them out . It's so fast that i thought it was spitting out the labels without printing on them. It comes with templates that have some layouts and some clipart graphics. My son said "let's try printing a photo" I explained to him that it's not that kind of printer and that it won't look good but he still wanted to try it. I added a colour picture that on the computer screen looked really bad but when it was printed it look like a good black a white (grey) graphic . Overall I'm very impressed. You can also get some cheap label rolls or rolls in one length from here: https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brother-Compatible-Address-Labels-DK11208-DK22205-DK22210-DK22225-DK22243-Rolls-/401394231145?_mwBanner=1 I think you can also buy compatible labels on aliexpress for about £2 each. Hope this helps ;)
It is for a 1tb but you can get 2tb for not much more and 4 tb for around £110. So there is better value to be had elsewhere.
£45 for 1TB isn't a deal
Remember the E for envelopes.
So it's not going anywhere?
30pk for £8.00 in Tesco: http://www.tesco.com/direct/sharpie-fine-permanent-marker-pens-limited-edition-30pk/631-8360.prd?skuId=631-8360
£4.95 delivery if you are not near a store :)
Yea can I ask why it's getting cold voted I was tempted to pull the trigger on this but I'm having second thoughts now
Negative votes seem a bit harsh; 2 year warranty and free next day delivery.
this description is a bit over the top. it counts steps (sometimes badly) and thats about it. but for a fiver you can't moan.
Sold on Amazon for £8.25 Inc Delivery ( Prime-Only )
These are great. I have one although started using a fitbit blaze recently but used this for over a year and no issues really. Great for price.
These are great value for the price. I like that it shows you the times of your steps and heavy sleep (I bought one in March). I just got a Samsung Gear Fit 2 to compare and didn't like that the app with it couldn't be specific enough as the Jawbone (apart from it being bulky), so I am selling. My only issue with the 'Up' is sometimes iffy Bluetooth connection. Battery lasts about four months and is easy to change. If you find one in B&M, many have the watch strap included.
Yep. Hate the shop but seen 'em in my local this week.
I will try that, thanks! :)
Pop in your local store. I managed to get 5 even after the website was out of stock. They even checked the local area for me and got a few transferred over from another local store.
Damn OOS :(
ah shame, they're out of stock :(
Yes it is.
Get the **** off
The pages are literally to **designed** to tear away from the perforated edge...
Still available for 8 quid https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/pukka-notebook-filing-collection-blue-free-c-c-8-tesco-2748930
After a year of daily use the pages become weak and start tearing from the perforated edge. I went for moleskine because of the durability. Still intact after 6 years.
Not sure maybe they have closed just thought I'd mention it as another buying option.

Looks like it's no longer available. I've expired the post now.
I can't find it on the Ryman website (nor any other Texet shredder). Is this an in-store only deal or has it expired? Not voting either way.
Why cold? Is it the brand Texet? Looking for a new shredder and considering this or a Fellowes
I know - heat from me :D
Would be nice to know why it's 'cold'?
Did I forget to mention that 8.4% tcb for online purchases
