Obviously I didnt expect to get anymore ink cartridges from HP due to subscription cancellation. but HP has detected that the existing ink that is already in the printer is from the trial period and cannot be used unless i enrol again(subscribe again).. i thought i could finish the existing ink and switch to buying my own from ebay..as i wasn't aware, just had to print something urgent, and without knowing HP's stingyness and not having ordered my own ink elsewhere,Printer wont print. Wish i'd known this,i wouldve bought ink before the subscription expiry. So folks,if u cancel ur subscription when its about to expire, make sure u order ur own ink, dont think that u can finish the last ink they send u. *runs to library for prints*

would these be suitable for printing stickers for a business i.e. high …would these be suitable for printing stickers for a business i.e. high output

I would think it would be more cost effective to get a printer that prints in ink instead of thermal as I think it will work out a lot cheaper over time if you are going to be printing a lot.

Or at least a more heavy duty thermal printer where the rolls of labels are a lot longer and cheaper in the long run.

I had a play with mine last night (the printer that is...lol).

I've got to say I'm very impressed by the speed and quality of the prints.

It prints as fast as it can spit them out . It's so fast that i thought it was spitting out the labels without printing on them.

It comes with templates that have some layouts and some clipart graphics.

My son said "let's try printing a photo" I explained to him that it's not that kind of printer and that it won't look good but he still wanted to try it.

I added a colour picture that on the computer screen looked really bad but when it was printed it look like a good black a white (grey) graphic .

Overall I'm very impressed.

You can also get some cheap label rolls or rolls in one length from here:

m.ebay.co.uk/itm…r=1

I think you can also buy compatible labels on aliexpress for about £2 each.

Hope this helps

would these be suitable for printing stickers for a business i.e. high …would these be suitable for printing stickers for a business i.e. high output

Guess it depends on how high that output would be, the manual is available here which states the speed of printing as maximum 50 standard address labels a minute (90mm/sec). I'd imagine with a lot of usage you may run into cutter problems down the line.. this is a manual cutter, so for business you'd probably find a model with an automatic cutter a distinct advantage (imo)

These are great value for the price. I like that it shows you the times of your steps and heavy sleep (I bought one in March).
I just got a Samsung Gear Fit 2 to compare and didn't like that the app with it couldn't be specific enough as the Jawbone (apart from it being bulky), so I am selling.
My only issue with the 'Up' is sometimes iffy Bluetooth connection. Battery lasts about four months and is easy to change.

well my lidl one is rubbish. Looks the same as this but in white. Barely shreds 5 sheets without stopping and jams very easily. Despite the rating only takes 2 or 3 sheets max.

Not bad for a decent shredder, also consider the following shredder on sale in Lidl at the moment for £29.99

Lidl Shredder £29.99

I have the Lidl one in my home office and it goes through a lot of shredding with no issues.

Just asking. Do people still shred? I don't have much post these days and if I find anything that needs shredding I just tear off the account number and address, then that bit goes in the waste food bin or general waste. Don't know why I bother doing that to be honest. I found the shredded paper a real pain to deal with. Still ill give this some heat as a good deal.

I wouldn't like to comment on their limitations, as I have never owned one myself, but people have reprogrammed them to do a whole host of stuff.

akajay07

You mean like these ?

These are much better than dash buttons, hence why I'd go up to a fiver. The dash buttons are technically free with the credit.

Original Poster

The old dash buttons used to, but can be quite slow to register... I'm not sure if the new ones can be hacked yet. I've got a use for the Flic button, turning on my garden lights and a smart plug. Wish they were cheaper, but twenty quid is not too bad...

So people are paying 20 quid for a button you can press to turn on a light? Erm....

by my calculation, the Poundland 6 Kodak Xtralife for £1 are better value than these, assuming the information from batteryshowdown.com

Obviously you'd take the Ikea ones, but I don't have one near me, whereas Poundland is everywhere.

This makes an interesting readhttp://www.batteryshowdown.com/

what's the deduction from this article? I guess these are the Energizer Standards, which perform average, so is 20p per battery good?
