As I stated in my first posting if you already own a Ryobi one+ series tool you will already have the batteries as one battery fits all products. This posting was aimed at existing Ryobi One+ owners , This hedge trimmer without batteries costs over £40 delivered normally.

Originally I bought the strimmer starter pack from ]here for £65 delivered (all starter kits in this series include two nicad batteries). I added this hedge cutter later as I didn't need more batteries.

It is ideal for me as I have a 120ft garden (2 extension leads to do it) and a 30 ft private hedge.

Each nicad battery holds a 45 minute charge and takes 1 hour to charge. They are a lot lighter than the petrol versions as well.

there are other products in the range ]here and you only need to buy the product as you already will have batteries.

I believe these batteries work with there power tool range as well but can't confirm this as i don't own any of their power tools

I have both Ryobi garden products (branch cutter) and a few of the One series of power tools - The batteries are exactly the same. If you want to splash the cash you can even get NiMH batteries.

Here we go people voting cold and for no valid reason. Please if you are voting cold list where you can find this product cheaper please.

Dont vote it cold because it doesn't have a battery if you own A Ryobi One+ series already you will know this product is a part of a series where batteries are interchangable. So if you already own say a strimmer in this series you will already have a battery for it that is why they sell products in this series without batteries.

If you want a Ryobi one product with a battery search for Ryobi One+ Starter Kit (you get 2 batteries supplied).

It would be like me voting say a Kenwood Chef add on utensil cold that is cheap because I don't own one and it would be no use to me. Why would I?????

Agreed about Ryobi tools. I also have a number of Ryobi One+ tools and they're very good. Do you mean 'Li Ion' batteries?
