Are Ryobi power tools better quality than dewalt?

Depends on the model of dewalt you buy, but generally speaking dewalt have a reputation for professionals and ryobi seem to be more diy friendly. I own ryobi and have drill saw and grinder and can reccomend them but i have Milwaukee and when you use them in comparison its like using a basic model ford to a top spec audi. They'll both get you from A to B but one will do so with sheer ease and comfort

Available for delivery for £5, good deal but not sure if it is a great deal, ryobi items could come down during Black Friday and with new models coming out. You can pick up drill for £45 off amazon and a 5ah battery for £23 odd if you have a business account. Think of it as £50 per tool then £30 for the 4ah batt and £15 for the 2ah batt and £5 for the bag
I've just reserved but didn't take 15% off?

They aren't top tier but plenty above the budget stuff. If you need them for regular domestic use then they will be just perfect. Professional use? Then you will probably be looking at Makita, Dewalt or Milwaukee.

Just worry about finding a bargain like this and not how to try and get more quids off or you’ll miss it all together..

Ryobi are strange in that they have vastly different tools in their range, all under one brand.

For example, they make some basic drills that are fine for DIY, but not really suitable for the professional. Yet their top end stuff (brushless drills and impact drivers) regularly win loads of awards. Their impact wrenches are particularly good.

If you go to the USA, Ryobi are one of the largest brands going, if not the largest.

In short: Ryobi have tons of tools. Their top end stuff can rival most brands, but you need to pay for them. A £40 drill from them isn't going to rival a top end one from another brand.

Just reserved one wished it had the impact driver instead of the grinder but at this price got to go for it.

This is a very generalised question. But not really, dewalt are priced and built for professional use. Ryobi is more aimed at enthusiast diy level. I have never seen a builder with Ryobi gear they are all team red (milwaukee) yellow (dewalt) or teal (makita)

2ah for circular saw or grinder would not last long.
Great price... homebase tho
Ryobi excels at the range of cordless tools they have. As far as diy and landscaping goes, Ryobi has probably the widest range of tools. Brands like dewalt Milwaukee etc are more aimed at builders so they lack some of the gardening tools. But they will have a more extensive building tool range than Ryobi.

I got a few Ryobi tools. Some are probably the best in the price range as well as class. The brushless impact driver is amazing to use. I have used dewalt and markita before. It’s chalk and cheese.

Indeed, and they're part of TTI, which is one of the largest tool manufacturers in the world (perhaps the largest?). TTI also own Milwaukee, who make some of the best tools on the planet, and I imagine that they use the same factories in China. But it can be a mixed bag, I've had some Ryobi stuff which is barely suitable for putting an ikea bookshelf together.
Well I made the reservation and went to pick it up after work. I spent 45 minutes in traffic only to receive a phone call just before I turned into the car park.. "your reservation has been stolen. we can't find it, sorry"

Out of stock everywhere here now.. was worth a try I guess.
Got mine today. £169.15

Using your analogy, the Milwaukee would fake it's battery life and have to be recalled, have all sorts of reliability issues and the power indicators would never work

Read his post about comparing Fords and Audis - then it'll make sense (assuming you've not been off-world in the last few years)
