Cheapest this has ever been on amazon according the the three camels.
The big 5ah is better for the more power hungry tools in the one+ range (mowers, saws, drivers, etc) and you'll get better performance from them using larger batteries as well - I've found this from experience.
The cheapie ones on amazon don't seem to compare well to the official Ryobi ones at all - reviews seem to confirm such.
Good deal.
Hope amazon business bring back price of 23.99, otherwise a good deal

Good spot op, thanks, ordered!!!
Are ryobi tools any good? I haven't had any but was thinking of getting makita or milwaukee.
This looks rather jazzy

I have DeWalt and Milwaukee (mostly Milwaukee) but I’ve used Ryobi quite often at work.

Most of the tools are okay even for site work, and they are much cheaper. However, the batteries are at least as expensive as DW/MKE, so it’s the kind of thing I’d only buy if they are on a serious discount.

I think they make up for it in batteries.

Con people into buying cheaper tools yet kill it with the price of batteries.

The drills drill, the saws saw, the grinders grind just like any other.
Hate that they don’t ship certain things to NI.
Ordered, thanks Op .
Good price for the 5.0Ah, have one already along with a few smaller capacity and the larger capacity definitely make a difference if using more power hungry tools - seemingly giving them a bit more grunt.

It's not looking likely.

I picked up some last time on the business offer, I think they did it as a trial with Ryobi stock. Before the business offer, Ryobi tools were sold by 3rd party sellers, after that Amazon seem to have all of the Ryobi tools for sale through them. I feel it was probably a deal they did with Ryobi when negotiating them being a supplier. Get loads of Amazon customers hooked up with batteries then the tools will sell more.

I'd pick up a couple more if they did it again, as a non professional I'm swapping my tools over to Ryobi to make it more convenient, especially as they cover all home/garden tools.
Very nice. Can someone please confirm if this can be charged with Ryobi compact charger ?

Look like this will charge this 5Ah but will take longer 200minutes. Is that correct?

I'm a heavy diyer (do my own house and rental house). I find them great, ibalsi have a ryobi strimmer and lawn mower for the garden.

I wouldn't place them in the same league as Milwaukee though. But Milwaukee are verging on a waste if money for a diyer.

All that happened is that the batteries were funneled to Ebay for twice the price. I sold 20 myself. Hundreds would have been doing the same.

Do the drivers drive?
This seems expensive for a budget brand.

The third party 5ah ebay/amazon about £25 are pretty good
amazon.co.uk/gp/…new
ebay.co.uk/p/3…878

A mate and me have used these in impact drivers for 6 months now.
There was a deal on here 2 for ~£40 not same as mine and few reviews - I passed.
They are cheap yes, but not great. I have bought 8 of them over the last 15 months and 3 have failed with no option to get them replaced or my money back. I have started to buy the genuine ones now.
