Cheapest it has been on Amazon. Got the Hybrid version of this, an excellent trimmer, battery life is about 20-25 minutes. But can get 4.0 ah or 5.0 ah batteries which are worth buying imho if you have other tools in the range like the hedgecutter etc and last about 50-60 minutes

This comes with a 1.3 ah battery and charger, very lightweight and charge time is about an 45 minutes with the charger supplied.

Product Description
The Ryobi RLT1825LI 18 V Li-Ion Line Trimmer Kit (1x1.3 Ah battery) is both lightweight and durable.

Box Contains
1 x Ryobi 18V OnePlus Li-Ion Line Trimmer
1 x 1 x 18V compact Lithium-Ion battery
1 x charger

They are... I've got the 18V lawnmower and this strimmer, both excellent. Not sure if still available as package from Homebase at £179.99 where I got it from.

£10 more at the moment but a great price still when you consider 4.0ah battery £63 Fast Charger £35, Strimmer £64 (albeit with normal charger and 1.3 ah battery that could be used for a spare anyway) @ Amazon = £162 so £17 for a cordless lawnmower suitable for small gardens is good value imho

Be aware that they are called a trimmer not strimmer for a reason. I have one and it absolutely fine for doing the edge of your lawn but the 18V battery is woefully underpowered for overgrown areas where a proper strimmer is needed.

Whilst I am a huge fan of Ryobi tools which generally are quite reliable, this one falls dreadfully short on expectations. It does NOT have a dual line feed but is a SINGLE LINE which is only 1.6mm thick. This is actually one of the thinnest lines on the market and is not suitable for any serious strimming - you need a thicker line for better and faster results. Plus having a single line only means it will take a lot longer to strim an overgrown area of grass. The good point is that it is very light, however the battery will last you only 10 or 15 minutes during continuous usage and when charging it, don't keep it plugged in too long as the plug does get very hot and might end up ruining your socket.
My conclusion is that this is only good for strimming thin, spindly, long grass that has taken over your patio or driveway and for tidying up around steps etc. However for a proper job where thick grass is involved, you will be better off with an electric strimmer with a dual line feed which is a lot thicker than 1.6mm.
