Cringing so hard at the OP sales pitch

You’d be better cringing at your lack of effort in 4 years. Rather than deriding someone else’s.

Prebuilts on here get a tough ride. OP has tried to preempt most questions and criticisms.

Cringing so hard at the OP sales pitch

Thanks for the comment, its not a sales pitch, as im not selling out, im giving folks an idea to use, for folks who are looking at vegas and folks looking for something a little higher for the future weather to buy now or laters when its back on the voucher offer., an idea on how to get a good deal when u play the retailers at their own game, rather then all these fixed builds high expensive pc builds and most of often ull find 1 / 2 items in there the reason why they built it to shift out some rubbish, where this idea u can get the parts u require, so the initial build is great for what it is with the option on change it to your requirements, if u dont like that... move on.

you cant buy a gaming PC for £257, as the poster has just proven, CCL builds have got worse value for money over the last few months generally.

Ever since they joined the reguler discount Ebay, prices have gone up !..... that £500 pc use to be brill, at the time the 2600x / 2700x and RX580 rx590 were higher so when a site wide code came on, bang! worked out cheaper doing the code then buying parts yourself, sadly CCL have gone on this regular voucher thing so that build for £500 has gone up.. meanwhile RX580 Rx590 have come down in price lol... makes that bad deal for today,......... however the method in my post now bypasses that.
I like how you bought the pc then proceeded to call ccl and basically change every component. At this point you may as well just go to awd and configure one.

sadly there configure prices are expensive..... same as nipping on CCL and picking this item which is on there direct, they have limited choice what u can pick via the web.,

Sadden thanks for the effort, very informative.
People don't have to buy and it is nice to be able to compare.
definitely get the ssd with it if you don't have one to add yourself.
its not a bad price for a prebuilt although most would choose different parts than most of these if building around this price range.
overall if you need a cheap pc for gaming or for a child who wants to play games and you don't want to spend the time researching and building it yourself this is who it's aimed for

I'm a relic from the Spectrum 48k era so forgive my question if it's obvious.
Would this run Football Manager? I've bought some cheap PC's off Gumtree
and it doesn't really run well.

If anyone could point me in the right direction please?
Can I do it for £50-100? Or is this a good option?

Cheers and a Merry Gaming Christmas to those souls with 420 dark rings under their eyes.
I mean the op tried... but dont eveb buyer goin in to pcs paying less than a console... youll only runnin to problems. If you can't afford a pc stick to a ps4.

1k minimum will see you safe for 4 years playing the latest games at decent settings at 1080p. Only the most demanding games will tank by then. Don't try skimp out and spend less than 300 quid on this mess.

The ps5 will be a beast and i suspect come in around 600+ using what a 1k pc will have roughly. Maybe less ram and such. So wait for a ps5 if you must save the pennys just know games will cost a lot on release.

Its not a bad deal.
But really you do need more ram and a graphics card if it's meant to be for gaming.
I'm for pre builds but even as someone who is rubbish at most things, I can just about knock up my own pc. Its that easy 😃
Would definitely be better spending £400 on bits and slowly DIY or up the budget slightly.

I recently built a PC for someone I think 1K is too high. You can get a decent 1080p Ryzen build for £500-600 these days.

For 1K you’re looking at a 4K build with some nicer components on it, well nicer than a console anyway lol

I put together a pc last year and it cost me about £650 without the card but I used quality bits like a £75 PSU and gigabyte WiFi board with flashing lights 😃 The ram was extortionate at the time.
Recently i built a 2600 with tomahawk board, tx 550 PSU, m.2 and a meshify case. I could easily have saved money getting cheaper parts and it came to £420 excluding the gfx card.
Slap in a second hand 580 and that's about £520 for a really decent pc.

Yeah that’s a good build, memory prices have plummeted recently making it cheaper. For 1K I’d be chasing a 20 series GPU build...

... clearly not looked at the customiser pal..

It's limited but when u call u have access to everything on there website.. which is better product.
Another tip.

When you call to swap

You want to move away from Customiser upgrades to alternative and the reason they whack the difference as per the Customiser which ain't the best, u want to use alternative stock from website and u get the website price

Thanks for the detailed rundown and options advice

I recently went with this system for my daughter but left the RAM options as they were... Now I'm stuck with 2x4GB sticks and no spare slots
its a good deal. The spec is decent and if you add £120 for a graphics ie. card RX570you have a capable PC for under £400.

EBay gumtree Facebook market place pal, some folks like the 2400mhz ram if they gone for older Mbs, selective games run better on lower (not getting into that) market is there and then upgrade ;-) good luck

Thanks pal.

All thanks to you actuly,

Your prev deal on the higher CCL Though the years when it use to be better when it was cheaper to buy it built then purchase sep.. time u had the discount.

Then my idea of the Switch A Roo on top..

So all credit goes to TACAVAS! For the initial idea here guys.
Tacavas has posted this: hotukdeals.com/dea…503

its £86 direct... seeing as the 3200G is £79 = £7 upgrade.
upgrade the PSU to a 500w

cclonline.com/pro…85/

*not sure on base price of the PSU included with the 2200G but say +£15

purchase this sep:
XFX Radeon RX 570 8GB XXX Graphics Card £105 with code
hotukdeals.com/dea…582@ CCL/Ebay

RX570 +£105

ram swap Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (1x 8GB) 3000MHz DDR4 + £6ish

And a Motherboard change to the B450 Ds3H £15

total extras on top of the £257 = 105 + 6 + 15 +7 + 15 = 405 +Windows code £3.5

So uve end up with a Ryzen 1600. RX570 8GB Ram 500W PSU Windows 10 for less then £410

* just another idea!.. bit cheaper then the 2600x....

I went with a RX590 (open box from CCL) - managed to get that and the PC (8GB / 3200G / 480GB SSD / 500W PSU) for £380

I had to spend a few quid on molex / sata adapters (GPU needed 6-pin and 8-pin) but it all works

Okay post your spec for 1k

No I’m not going to there’s no point it doesn’t take a genius to do a basic PC spec at less then a grand using components from the latest generation to produce something capable of 4K gaming at less than a grand
My i7 870 and gtx 1060 can run a lot of games like gears of war 4 and Forza horizon 4, FIFA 20 at 4k.
I hooked it up to my TV and was surprised.
Its only getting about 45 FPS in gears of war at medium settings but for some reason 40 doesn't seem bad at all on the TV.

No its not... maybe in a few games that can do 4k on dog crap hardware not the latest games or anything demanding. Post your hardware so we can have a laugh.

I bet its got a dog crap case and youre using a 5700 blower gpu...

Just post it.

All i know is the pc youre speaking of will sound like a hoover and likely to put anyone first going in to pcs off for life.

2070s can't even play games at 4k at a steady 60 fps so by 4k you been fps dropping all over the place no... that doesnt count.

If you cant post it why mention it? People talk poop when called out.
