Very similar to the recent AWD-IT deal I pounced on like many others.

I was just playing about with their website and configured this PC.

If you:

Add 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM
aDD 500GB Samsung Evo SSD in Primary Storage
Add 1TB Seagate HDD in Secondary Storage

It should come out at £731.16 with free building and postage.

This is a cracking deal and works out about £30-40 cheaper than the config that I bought from them last week.

You could also add a further 1TB HDD (making the Seagate 2TB) for an extra £16, which is what I would do!

Note: doesn't include Windows OS in this price, but you can do it yourself

really easily by downloading Windows Media from Microsoft onto an 8GB+ USB and

just plonking it into your PC when it first boots up ^^

Can't speak for the rest of the components or AWD-IT themselves but this looks like a pretty good deal to me.

SSD is Samsung
HDD is Seagate
RX 580 is Powercolor
PSU is likely Coolermaster 500W as used on all their other 580 builds
Case is Kolink RGB
Motherboard is Gigabyte B450M
Nice price for a nice set of components.

How futureproof is the 580 now? I'm sure it's going to be good for 1080p on most titles for some time yet?

To be honest I think it's a bit more beefy than that. I'm aiming to play mine on 1440p and it looks like it gets 60-80fps in most games at 1440p/medium, and 144+ on 1440p/esports. Great value card!

Yeah I did a lot of research on it to make sure I definitely didn't need a Vega card.

I think the 580 sits somewhere in between the 1060-6GB and the 1070 in terms of performance

I'd be very wary advising people to buy used tech over new. You have no idea how it's been treated or if components are on their way out and there's no to little chance to try them out before you commit to buying, usually in cash or BACS which has no protection.

I sold my used GTX 960 PC for £500 on there, and this is new and quite a bit more powerful for about £230 more.

Buying PCs is not just about the now but the next 2-4 years so unless you spot some ridiculous spec for the money then I would say used is not worth it.

You can find brand new deals on gumtree... And you can buy a comparable system for half this price.

Please link where you can buy a system with an RX580/1060 6GB with a good CPU, a Samsung SSD, and hard drive storage, for 370 quid. New, as you said.

Benchmarks only prove specs by the way, not the condition of the parts. That's impossible to tell until months down the line when something fails since it's much older than new tech.

An i5 6500 is not comparable, it's is 4 years old and about 30% slower than the Ryzen 2600x.

That's still not a bad deal if you get a monitor with it, which is what I believe you're saying.

Although I doubt you get a large SSD, slot of hard drive, or 16GB DDR4 RAM? Which is what really pushes the price up on any PC

Bro... It's £420! An i5 6500 will provide near enough the same results when coupled with a Rx 580 in gaming.

Genuine sellers use gumtree cause people abuse PayPal and eBay to either scam or return good in 5 months when technology advances and prices shift.

You can pick up 1080ti rigs with 1440p monitors for just above £800

I guess we'll agree to disagree then bro. I think you'll find Gumtree is absolutely jampacked with scammers as many people will testify.

I'll stick with new tech, I don't want someone's hand me down gadgets because I simply don't know how they treated them and I have no protection. Each to their own

Yeah, you need to be well careful on Gumtree. Stolen items, damaged goods, things on their way out, or simply just used and therefore a lot more liable to break down.

Not worth the risk imo unless you have proof it's new or it is literally 25% of the price or less, and if it is, it's probs too good to be true anyway!

To be fair, you kinda proved my point. PUBG is known as a CPU heavy game, isn't super optimised and has a relatively large map compared to most games, and yet on Ultra (which most people are happy with medium/high) you're getting well over 60fps.

I would hazard a bet that if you were willing to drop to medium quality and play at 1440p you would get 60 frames there or abouts. I have a mate who runs exactly like this and gets 60-63 fps average on 1440p.

It all depends on whether you consider Ultra to be needed or not, that's up to you

There are various pc options on awd-it so I wouldn't say it's the same deal as last week

E.g if you want win10 pre installed and imo better case then this deal which was posted a few weeks ago (and I bought) is equally as close to this one as it comes as std with B450M mb, 1TB HDD and Ryzen 2600X CPU for £649. Then with options changed to 16GB 3000Mhz memory and additional 500GB Samsung SSD it comes to £801.

So they have pc options to cater for all

@cfbc I bought that deal too! I was just playing about with different builds on here and saw this.

This is actually better value for money, if you upped the CPU to an x and added all these storage options it would have come to almost £800, so I thought it was worth people knowing ^^

These specs from my e-mail confirmation. "Options: Choose your Build Time: Standard Build Time - 4-5 Working days (Monday - Friday) , Choose your Case: Corsair SPEC-04 TG , Upgrade the Motherboard: Gigabyte X470 Ultra Gaming (+£69.95) , Choose your Ryzen CPU ** Division 2 Game Free **: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.9GHz Six Core , Choose your Graphics card ** 2 Free Games **: Powercolor RX 580 8GB RED DRAGON V2 , PC Memory Upgrade Dual DDR4 : Corsair 16GB Vengeance (2x8GB) 3000Mhz DDR4 (+£49.99) , Primary Hard Drive: 240GB SSD Solid State Drive , Choose your Secondary Hard Drive: Seagate 2TB Barracuda Drive (+£48.99) , Choose your Operating System: None , Choose your Wifi: None"

I already had a spare SSD that I swapped out the 240 one for a 1TB one now and upgraded the memory and 2TB HD instead of the 1TB. I bought the red case and upped the motherboard.

All worked out around £740.

Only issue I had was that the HDD had come lose (not screwed in) and had moved the plastic bay holders, but just had to take out, re-fix in.

No other issues so far, although not tried any games. I need to get my paperwork out the oft (in the box) to get the game codes.....

Literally the same as mine except I paid for a Samsung SSD as I don't have one spare and it works out about the same price as putting one in myself!

I'm looking at trying various combinations. What build did you purchase?

Ryzen 2600
16GB DDR4-3000 RAM
Standard RX580
500GB Samsung SSD
2TB Seagate HDD
No Wifi (I have a dongle already)

No OS (easy to do yourself all you need is a cheap USB)

Although I’m kinda regretting not paying the 30 extra for the 2600x CPU, simply for the better cooler!

I paid £765 for that configuration. This one I posted has the x CPU, and if you add everything else I’ve bought I believe it comes out a tiny bit cheaper. Don't quote me on that though.

My advice: Defo buy the extra and faster RAM, buy the CPU upgrade if you can spare the cash, buy the Samsung SSD as their standards are probably average quality Adata's or Kingstons, and don't bother upgrading the RX580 unless you're aiming for heavy 1440p gaming.

The thing is the extraa are kind of essential if you want a decent gaming machine. Not all of them but most of them I would say.

The RAM upgrade is just a necessity, 8GB is not enough these days and you'll be seriously limiting your PCs multitasking abilities if you go with it. You could live with 2400Mhz RAM but the most cost effective way to go on AWD-IT is definitely the 16 GB DDR4-3000 upgrade.

Both the 2600 and 2600x are more than enough to game, end of story. So is the rx580 unless you want 1440p on the latest titles at high frames.

An SSD is also very important, it fan help load times in games, particularly ones with lots of details or textures, plus your entire OS and experience will be generally faster.

If you take the RAM upgrade, add an SSD and hard drive, you can build a good PC using mine and the other AWD deal for less than 700 quid. That's good going.

What kind of games are you looking to play and at what resolutions/frames?

I'm not sure of what games yet, as I've been out of the PC gaming for many years and mainly gaming on the PS4 Pro and XBOX One X. I was looking at upgrading:

CPU - 2600x

Was also thinking of upgrading the motherboard, but not sure to which one?!

I think you might have the GPU and motherboard mixed up, the ASUS B450-F is the motherboard.

That's the same as mine, I went for the 2600 CPU but that was just me cheapskating and I kinda regret it tbh.
I went for the Kolink RGB caese myself, I like the look of it alot ^^
