What is a Ryzen 8 ?
rev629/12/2019 12:16

Ryzen 3, Vega 8.

Description says Ryzen 8 multiple times
I might use this to replace my old hp proliant microserver
I really can't decide what i think about this build.

For those without pc knowledge it's probably good enough as a basic machine and you're getting a 3 year warranty.

For those with knowledge you'd know some of the parts just don't cut it but then you'd build your own pc anyway.

Hmm annoying, I was quite set for 3400g but after looking at 2400g it's quite bang for buck... Decisions decisions.

If you are in no hurry wait for the 4000 series apus ...Max wait is about 3 months - ish. The expectation the launch at CES and then to production launch a month or two later.
wifi card wont give you full speed of your internet if you are on a fast internet speed
Good post, sarden84. Compared to a prebuilt from Currys at £50 more, this is pretty good.

Checked it out. I like what CCL are doing these days. They deserve more recognition. Here's Currys best £300 PC, using an AMD a6. Oh my.
Still a shocking a320 motherboard, only downside but it can be changed to a 450

yup one of the key reason for my posts mate.... for some, for others spec self builders a 2600x is the way to go or that 1600, but for folks who like to use currys, there is this which is much better and tbh ccl defo offer better C/S too.

replace the 3200g with the athlon 3000g if you're going to use as a server.

I'm gonna be that one that asks if this will run Fortnite, Ring of Elysium etc? Lad wants a PC and very nearly dropped the hammer on a Z620 with the Xeon E5 before spotting this...

Computers make my head hurt!!

This will easily run Fortnite. The case will hold a full graphics card as well so if the time comes that your lad wants to play more demanding games then this can be upgraded.

itll be great, alternative u could get this with RX570 which will offer extra FPS with the GPU and better at more demanding titles.

hotukdeals.com/dea…955

^ u could remove the RX570 too which brings it back down to the white case version spec.
Is it possible to add a graphics card to this in future and/or change power supply? Asking for a friend lol

Edit....ignore as just saw someone said you can add a graphics card

Thx sarden84 for all three of your recent desktop deals.
I deliberated on all, and decided to order this one. Expected to come in a week...see how it goes!
The cube like form factor did it for me. Good as a yogurt maker
Though it's mostly for a pre-teen son, who wants to break free of the 'no tech' shackles that dad had imposed on him last few years
May upgrade it soon with higher speed RAM that everyone seems to say will be a good fit. May ask for help.
Thx again
