Just FYI I assume "Up to 32GB Dual Channel DDR4 2400Mhz" is historic and/or related to the memory you can add to the bundle. Even though the B450M-K is super budget, it does support sensible XMP options like 3200MT/s. Indeed they will sell you one for a 16GB 3200 kit for £63 (though i would go for the branded option at £69 or BYO)

That’s the text that Hotukdeals has copied into the deal text....

Yup, it's a problem with the AWD-IT listing. Didn't mean to imply otherwise, apols. Just didn't want anyone to think that the board would be capped at 2400 (it's not AFAICT).

No problem, I’m trying to get back into PCs, not built one in years, I blame Sarden - he keeps listing deals that have got me interested again!
I just got this mobo with 3300x and 3200 ram from awd it.

The ram said 2866 in bios I think but then said was running at 3200 in bios too.

Cpu z said 3200 xmp

So they do overclock the ram for you and this mobo can overclock ram using xmp profiles!

That said. They never delivered my psu special deal or got back to me about it after I sent pics so .... Like their deals but they have let me down...and I am not the only one axcording to trust pilot!

Intel where are you.
Awesome deal. Made even better considering this motherboard supports pcie gen 4 on 3000 series processors
Tasty. I'm tempted but I'm not sure I can really be bothered rebuilding my PC, when my old core i5-2500k is still playing everything at over 60fps with the bargain Radeon Rx 570 that I threw in there recently.

8 years old and still does everything I need it to. But I still want the new shiny!

I know the feeling, but I have an old quad core Q8200, ideally need to build a new pc in the existing case so the wife doesn’t notice!
I got this deal last week. Couldn't find cheaper elsewhere, even asked palicomp to beat it (with a few other bits) and they said they couldn't.

The board comes with chip installed and updated bios (required for 3000 series) so saves potential faff. I put in 16gb 3200mhz corsair ram (£65) and 512gb WD nvme (£80) drive (both via hukd) plus £2.99 win10 key off ebay. Went into bios to set RAM to run at full speed and also saw the MB has auto overclock-so got a bit more out of the chip with no fuss. Only downside of thus budget motherboard I can see is my GPU covers 1 of the pcie slots so only 1 left available-not a problem for me though. Would definately recommend.

I’m still debating this or the m-a version board. Think the other board has four slots for memory, so easier/cheaper to go from 16 to 32gb.
Got to open up my old case and see what size board it takes!

Haha take that Q8200 out back and give it an honorary send off and then upgrade that puppy. Desktop PCs were made upgradable so that the wife will never know

Ah yes-the 2 ram slots do limit you. I can't see why I'd need more than 16gb. Although I thought similar when I splashed out on 4gb of ram the last time I built myself a PC

My Q8200 has 4gb, the max the board can take! Finally bit the bullet and ordered the 3600x, now got to order everything else. Hopefully the existing power supply is up to the job!

I had the same worries with power supply. Mines only got 4pin cpu connector but the board had 8 pin - apparently the 4pin is good up to 150W though. TPD of 3600 is 65watt (incidently the same as my old E8400). Anyway-it works! Next worry is graphics card but opting for the 1660 super which is pretty efficient. Also I've ditched CD drives and mechanical HDD so hopefully frees up some wattage. All part of the fun
