Yeah I have been on that site a few times today. Still can’t decide if I should go 2700x or 3600x

I don't think you'd notice any difference between the 3600 and 3600x.

3600 wins over the 2700 in everything except programs making efficient use of the extra cores - compression, blender, premiere - but even then, not by much. 3600 also wins with compiling if that's important to you. I've watched way too many comparison videos

The board with the 3600 is a great deal too @ £242.34. Nice find OP

I do use premiere and other graphic programs on occasion. Tbh it will be shared with my son and I to 3D model and play games. I am leaning to the 3600 just so it’s more future proof
Any recommended ram for this build please either a 16gb or 32GB cheers

Completely depends what you're going to do with it. If you're just gaming 16gb will be enough. If you don't have a plan for what you will use 32gb of ram for, you probably don't need it

Just make sure it’s over 3000mhz. Ryzen loves higher speeds
What’s awd-it like never used them before??

For games the 3600 will almost definitely be better in most scenarios. In terms of other workloads, it could be a bit hit or miss depending on how the program handles multicores. Not sure about premiere but it might be worth checking specific benchmarks for it if you can. (Also check out DaVinci Resolve as an alternative)

Cheers mostly gaming and editing. Any particular make of RAM some say there are incompatibility issues in some RAMs any suggestions. Thanks again

So basically just games. Come on, this is poor advice.

Go with budget. Either CPU will give you tons of horsepower at this point.
If you're gaming, and don't care about super high refresh / competitive play, spend more money getting 16GB RAM at a decent speed (3200-3600) and a faster GPU.
If you're doing any kind of content creation then you should already know that 3xxx Ryzen series has more cores, more poke, more everything and is the better buy.
"Military style"

What does that even mean?

To be honest it’s pot luck. I have a tomahawk and read there was issues with Corsair so I went with ballistics ones (2x8gb 3000mhz) I’m building it later in the week so if it doesn’t work I’ll post lol. Or cry ha
Should I return a 3600 and Tomahawk Max bought for £242 for this?

Better cooler and free game make it seem a better deal.
