Be worth paying extra for the new 12nm Ryzen 1600 AF.

I'm told they're available in the UK for £85, some people have got them from CCL.

I'd agree with this. This deal is a fair enough price, but pay more for the 1600 AF for a lot more perf, or scale back to a 3 1200 or something and put more into a GPU. Otherwise you're not getting the best perf per pound imho. Heck, the new Athlon 3000G is surprisingly potent for a dual core four thread chip.
i do agree with the AF @ £90................. but if u were building a 3200G / with a RX570....... then this in the league of them, u may ask why someone would build a 3200g / rx570...... because of the price, talking £188..... cpu/gpu combo... /im just gonna ignore 12000............................ /// i just thought it might be an interesting catch for someone.

trust me for 1 item available im not gonna write up a doc lol...

#could be a site what says 1 available all the time.. we will see if it goes out of stock

Tend to agree with the video. 1600 AF plus a cheap GPU shouldnt cost more than £200 and it should be pretty acceptable even with modern titles.

complete agree mate, as i said i just thought it maybe usefull for someone when i came across it,
Where CAN you get an AF 1600 from reliably, however, fo less than £115-£120? Everyone seems to be referring to them, but when you actually seek one out, they are like hens' teeth to find at the right price? Amazon US won't ship to UK...

The regular 1600 has gone up.
The last second hand one on eBay I watched went for £74.
I think it was going for $85 somewhere and people got excited.
I think this is fine just like the 1200 if you want a real budget build where every penny saved on each part counts.
Its capable for games atm and some just want a general computer that is only used for light gaming.
I'd probably say get a regular 1600 if you don't need to save the extra £10 but atm this £85 AF version doesn't seem to be around.

Thanks, that's what I found. I have an old board knocking about, so I was going to throw a cpu in and get it up and running for the kids, but I'm in no rush. I shall just keep an eye out and see where I get to?
order it, got 14 days to return.. check Product ref is correct for the AF version, if not return it guys
I bought my 1600 AF from CCL.

I called them on the 27th December and asked the salesperson to physically check stock for the AFBOX version.
He (sorry, I don't remember his name) did so and confirmed they had them in stock, so I placed the order then.
Parcel arrived on 31st December and was correct.
Box security label reads Part # YD1600BBAFBOX and processor YD1600BBM6IAF, with a production date of
1923SUT.

Cost inc. delivery was £90.89.

I've yet to buy a motherboard (probably MSI Tomahawk Max), so can't comment on performance yet.

I note CCL not longer show any stock but I suggest calling them when stock is available.

Hope this is of use to someone.

I think once the hype dies down, then the price will stabilise, buying one for £115-£120 which I've seen them go for, makes no sense as you can get a Ryzen 5 2600X for £122.
links dead, its gone.
