Ryzen 5 3600x - 6Core 12 thread CPU

Palicomp price: £185.00 - free delv
---->> Amazon price today £187.00

Has been cheaper a little in the past, and then we have the debate from some folks rather get 3600 as its £30 cheaper, but regardless of them and there thought, there is still a high demand for the 3600x for stock users with its better stock cooler.

"each to their own"

Fancy this in a prebuilt system -->> hotukdeals.com/dea…994

I'm so used to seeing grey ryzen boxes. This is an interesting image
Cheapest i've seen for a while, i bought a wraith prism cooler new for £20 for my 3600 as i dont like the stealth cooler which i got with my 2600, looks ace with RGB its a much better cooler and much quieter.
a refreshed 3600xt should be available around 7th july but rrp is said to be £250. may not be worth the slightly higher base and boost clocks . hopefully price cuts for current chips
Have AMD overtaken Intel now? I built my PC over 3 years ago and chose Intel for my CPU. I'm looking at upgrading it soon and was wondering if I should switch to AMD?
I was thinking of getting AMD but if they increase the prices and should intel decrease theirs (pray a blue moon comes), I'm getting intel. For the instruction sets.
Good processor always stays at 10-15% in windows and games.. Love it!

Price for price AMD are better than intel, especially for gaming amongst other things.

The range of cpu's from Ryzen in the £100 to £150 price range now is amazing ninja, Ryzen is beating Intel on price/performance value hands down, but Intel are great chips.
If you are building a complete system with CPU and motherboard, the money you save with Ryzen over Intel on a price/performance level will mean you can get a better system for the same cash, I worked it out that the money I saved on my latest build, would buy me a 4K monitor, and that's a hell of a bonus, Intel still great chips though on the whole, just less bang for your buck.

Yup. Intel at the every top end (especially if all you do is game) but AMD have pretty much every other segment covered once you factor in mobo cost (and the limited availability of Intel 10 gen parts).

FWIW I'd go 3600 at £145 but to each their own.

I built an Intel pc two years ago and it's still going strong. Got another two years easily.
But I also have a Ryzen 2600x which I will upgrade once games demand 8 cores.
I have always switched between the two but as of probably last year AMD have made it impossible to recommend anything other than going AMD. Unless money doesn't matter what so ever.

I noticed that on CCL and others, they have the XT listed now - if you hover over the processor on the CCL site you can see their price - seems to be RRP minus £10.

Stupid question but is this with the cooler?
Amazon now knocked off £10. It's £190 now. amazon.co.uk/dp/…N2D
Still cheaper on Palicomp though
Not available on that site.
