Hi @sarden84 I think I've missed the best deals, I have a budget about 800 for a whole set up, would this PC be my best option and try to find a screen separately?
ill tag u on the post whats aim at ur budget. area.

Come on, AWD-IT, you can do better than this,

Please do a Santa-solid by giving people the option to upgrade to the cheaper non-X version of the R5 5600, specifically so that when combined with a B550 motherboard they can then take advantage of PCIE-4 for much faster storage/improved resale value. Add to that the option of at least a bronze-rated EVGA power supply and that combo would put you firmly into picking up more awards in PCPro magazine, etc.

That vs hitting an attractive budget point, I get it. Or I'd more so seasonally-understand it if you added a big games bundle.

Anyway, it's fine, getting back on topic hot, obviously, another great sarden84 find, just that it could be so much hotter for a relatively small additional outlay that makes it much easier to recommend to friends who many of us forum enthusiast nuts don't have time any more to build PCs for. They can't hear you, maybe tag them or something? Not sure if Palicomp are on UKHD (edited)

    Can save -£39.99

i have shown some 4500 deals, which it was well worth to take that undercut as the deal was soo compact, (tec acting like the cpu was near enough given for free) i.e costco 3060 one.

when the deal is based on another item being reduced and option to change CPU = does change the reflect.

but if u want -£39.99 its there.
Hey what would be an affordable base for a gaming setup for future upgrade?

I've made a few upgrades and am keen for your comments @sarden84 if you wouldn't mind:

MSI Vampiric V100R RGB tempered glass (looks sexy) +4.99
Asus B550M-A wifi II Micro ATX Motherboard +49.99
    AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6 core 4.6ghz +99.99 (worth it?)
Adata GAMMIX D45 16GB 3600 DDR4 - WHITE heat spreader +14.99 (cheap upgrade for power boost)
    Adata Gammix S70 Blade 1TB Gen 4 NVME M.2 SSD 7400MB/s +89.99 because I want the speed

    Total £809.94 before code.

I'm looking at spending £800ish for Christmas and wanted to check if these upgrades appear sane or if any are pointless / less worthwhile. Most importantly is the cooling/power OK for these choices as I know nothing about those requirements?

Many thanks for the original post :-)
Honestly mate not sure if it's worth paying extra for the gen 4. I doubt you will notice any difference.

Damn, just too late. Just finished a build for a friend that was more expensive than this with the 4600g processor and a GTX1080 🤷🏻

Putting the word ‘gaming’ before a computer description doesn’t magicLly make it good.
It's a gaming PC. Who said it was good?
