Ryzen 5 5600 CPU down to just £116.76 with free shipping at TND. Great company, used them for parts for my last rig.

Next best price based on the Amazon deal that got to 300 degrees a couple of days ago.

6 core/ 12 thread CPU, perfect for any gaming PC, and provides nigh on identical performance to the 5600X. Can probably overclock to match the performance if you're so inclined. Ideal pairing with any of B550 motherboards that have come down in price recently, such as this one hotukdeals.com/dea…462

Significantly cheaper than using the latest 7000 series CPUs, and you're unlikely to see much in the way of performance loss in gaming.

Hi. Any tips on changing AMD cpus? I used to have no problem with intel as the pins are on the mobo. Took off the cooler while mobo in the case. Took out cpu. Replaced. Thermal paste. Cooler . Done!

But I replaced one AMD b450 nd broke it. Think because I need to put pressure on the underneath of the motherboard at the same time where the mount is holding the cooler on?

So I have been wanting to upgrade my 2700 but out off by me breaking the pins on an old 1600 rig before. (edited)

Run something for a bit so that the thermal paste is warm, and then twist before you pull up to break the surface tension between the thermal paste and the CPU

Worth upgrading from a 1600 on x370 board (board does support it with the latest bios)? Tho want to go all out on 5900 or 5950 on my old rig. Maximise the x370 potential

I went from 1600 to 5600x and the difference was insane in all aspects of using my pc.

    I highly recommend upgrading man.

A good price for a great mid-range CPU, hopefully, we get something similar on the 5700.

5700 is discounted all the time. BUT at 65W the 6 and 8 core perform very very similar, so you may wish to take the extra saving. Of course, with AMD you always have the option to significantly up the power usage of 65W parts (with better cooling), and then the 8-core gets proportionally faster.

About £50 less than the 5700x but with similar gaming perf. If you don't need the extra cores, for gaming and general use, this is a good "budget mid range" CPU still.

Is there any reason to pay extra for a 5600x or even 5700x?
I currently have a Ryzen 2700 coupled with an RX580 8GB. The GPU will bottleneck any cpu anyway, but if I plan to upgrade the rx580 in the future, does it make sense to get anything more expensive than this?

I do light gaming and occasional Photoshop and lightroom editing.

5700/5700X maybe if you need the extra 2 cores/4 threads to speed up your workstreams. The 5600X definitely not, you can use Ryzen Master's Precision Boost Overdrive to slightly overclock this to get the exact same performance as a stock 5600X. Clock speeds are the only difference between the 2, and the 5600X isn't too much faster - we're talking a couple of megahertz, max

Great CPU, definitely recommend changing the cooler though to keep the noise down at load.

Stock coolers shouldn't be as noisy as they are. Awful things.
