    Test 30 Games with Ryzen 5 5600G Vega 7 & 16GB RAM - (Video age 1 month ago)

He/she didn't include Elden Ring so here's an Elden Ring test (Video age 1 year ago, drivers maybe better now) >

The alt case is a bit noisey, i have it. Nice to look at and good when new, but it does start to rattle a little.

Could I incorporate my existing hardware into this to make it a decent gaming machine? Would I be able to play some of the latest titles?

This is my existing hardware I would like to re-use...
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 OC Low Profile 4GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
GIGABYTE P750GM V2 750w 80 Plus Gold Fully Modular PSU

    i`d upgrade to a ASUS PRIME B550M-A,

bit more i know, but it looks like it has a better VRM.

the upgrade to 5600x is a good suggestion.

Thank you for taking the time to put all these deals together! I am looking at pulling the trigger for this for my son who is just starting out in pc gaming. Is it worth adding wifi built in to the motherboard?

I can get him this and add a gpu later when his requirements go up? Happy to spend around 400-475. I have attached the basket I am going for it comes out at 475.
Any advice is appreciated as it’s been a long time since I bought a PC.

    Thanks

The alt deal is this 4100+6400XT (diy win ur self)
    # lower CPU to allow a higher performance GPU.

however, if u add a GPU above 1650S the performance of the cpu will be a major factor, and ull loose out on the gains on the 5600G offers.

but if u want "new" and dreadfull, awefull but does the tick at the price, its one of them amazon ranges whats £100 more n so on. but it does give that bit more upfront gpu bite (RX570 level under 4100) which u can pick up at £70 and add that to the 5600G and ull have the cpu performance, but obvious option on going for the higher gpus used laters.

4100+6400XT, for new good value, but ur ...... later. and that one of the reason the 5600G is solid, it offers the vega7 great entry for the kids first pc, but had enough whack in the cpu for afew twist laters.

some folks have taken the bequiet 750W and popped a used 3080 into the system, might not be the best way to do a 3080, but the performance to value as they picked up a mega cheap used 3080 is solid. (edited)

    Well, I went for this!
I upgraded the motherboard to the B550M-A as suggested by @ws007
I also managed to get the CPU swapped to the 5600x at no extra charge as suggested by @sarden84
They are out of stock on the Samsung M2, but for an extra £20, I changed this to ADATA 1TB S70 BLADE M2 NVME GEN4 which has much higher R/W speeds than the Samsung (would normally be £48)

I'm pretty happy with that! Thanks all!

Thanks for your efforts putting these deals together I finally went with this one for an office pc I went with the alt case as I read reviews saying the fans don't give much clearance at the front and can affect cooling might not be true

Btw looks like you can do a similar build with AWD

    awd-it.co.uk/gam…tml

I think the SSD sacrifice is acceptable considering the drops that have been happening lately and Windows is Windows...

Just wonder what PSU they use. Anyone know?
    sarden84's avatar
    sarden84 Author
Last time i asked AWD-IT over this it will be a 500W which changes each month depending what they have in.
but it will be from a respective brand.

Gamemax / CIT FX / AERO Cool. so it be inline with the 1P promo on the palicomp one i.e FX 700W
decent enough for a 1660 on their 500W, and palicomp 700W 2060, certainly ain't one to match with a 700W GPU

Hi @Sarden84, i appreciate your work with all these gaming pc links! I've been looking/researching over the past couple of weeks as my kids want one for there bdays!

This one your posted looks good will it play games like Fortnite and Fifa?

Also when you say 'add all links to basket' will this mean the guys at Palicomp will make the PC for us with these extra parts or will they all ship separate and i need to fix the parts in? (edited)

I bought one of these just before Xmas (RYZ10).

Note the default motherboard (A520M-K A520) does not have wi fi built in but it is £35 more to have one with wi fi built in.

I wanted mine as an office PC so changed the case, added a CD drive, and went for Windows 10 Pro.

My PC as shipped would not go up to Windows 11 until I updated the BIOS software. Once I had done that it says I could go up to Windows 11 if I wanted to (not done it yet). I guess if you order Windows 11 they update the BIOS for you (hopefully).

Palicomp did try to push me to take extra stuff such as "quick build" or "better after sales support" that sort of thing (more money for them I guess), but once I said no they stopped pestering.

First time I had used Palicomp and PC arrived after a few days, safely and securely boxed, and worked fine since. So I would happily use them again.

My only complaint was that one PC magazine had an advert for Palicomp and it offered £20 off for first order. When I ordered mine with the £20 off included they refused to honour it as they said it "did not apply to that PC!!". Bit annoyed but ordered it anyway. (edited)

    Hi mate.

Yeah, I saw the £20 discount from the PC Magazine. (i took advantage of the free screwdriver hahaha) cancel now.
unfortunately, the discount at the time wasn't available on this line or the hellfire which has been replaced by a new voucher on site.

Do u remember the link for that other voucher as I've lost it, could be handy for an alt deal.

If you plan on putting a decent GPU in it, go for the alt case.
The airflow in that first one will be dreadful.

The Side vents and fans on it do it very well, even with a GPU.

Putting the fans behind the chassis helps even more, plus u can add two fans on the bottom and two on the top. (edited)

@sarden84 I am after a relatively cheap 2nd PC, I am dropping drives as I have SSD and 4tb Sata.

Is it worth going for the Ryzen 7 5700 upgrade? and the B550M-K?

I recently got this and was wondering if the rx 6650 xt would be a bit overkill for it? At the moment I only really play Rocket League, rest of the time it would be for using 3 QHD displays as an office computer. However I would like to try and get into other games, but split between saving some money and just getting a rx 6600 or paying a bit more and getting better future potential.

QS for yourself this one man.

6600 is a good 1080, but if u want to move to 1440, the 6650xt is a nice entry for it / Or higher 1080 system. (edited)
