its about even on stock speeds give/take between titles in FPS., but u can easily OC the 2600 to the X levels........ but as the gaming market is changing... the 2600 would be more suitable in the future compared to the likes of the 9100F due to the extra cores/threads... so 12-18 months time a whole new ball game on newer titles.

Depends on the situation and application. Looks like the i3 has slightly better performance in certain games
(single core and dual core performance), but more modern games (like Watch Dogs 2), the 2600 can bury it.. The i3 is 4 core and 4 threads; the 2600 is 6 cores 12 threads. The i3 seems good value for the money though.
