Sabatier Trompette (Richardson Sheffield) do some really good knives. I'm not so sure about the RRP, although in my experience they are well worth this price. Amazon sell these for £65.47 at the moment and have not had them for less than £59.50.

With the Sabatier name being put onto lots of different quality knives, it is worth doing a little research on the ones you are planning to purchase. Sabatier Trompette seem to be a great quality set.

I did see them on here before for £49.99 or £54.98 Delivered.
These are now £44.99 in store or £49.98 Delivered.

Ring your local first to avoid disappointment. To be honest, these are well worth the asking price. They should last for a very long tim.

25 year guarantee knife block including
•1 x Pairing Knife
•1 x Purpose Knife
•1 x Carving Knife
•1 x 15cm Cooks Knife
•1 x Bread Knife
•1 x Sharpening Steel
•6 x Steak Knives

Sabatier is not a trade name nor any mark of quality, it is simply a word that any old Tom Dick or Harry can attach to their knives whether they be good or bad.

May be so, although personally I have never had a set that are bad. I used to work as a cook, that's where I first used some some with the Sabatier same on. 'Sabatier Trompette' have a few different blocks, as far as I can see they are good quality and have positive reviews.

Edit: After a little research, looks like the Sabatier Trompette branding are known for good quality as opposed to some of the others.
Either way, worth noting what you said.

You seem not to understand. Sabatier means nothing, not a thing, zero and zilch.
You could make some plastic disposable knives and call them Sabatier.

I understand and researched the item. For this kind of money, these are great quality.
