Great fun but best with 7+. Works OK with 4-6. Works better with 3 than 4-6 in my opinion!

Saboteur. In this semi-cooperative game, you're dwarves mining for gold when suddenly, the pick-axe breaks, and the lantern goes out. The saboteur has struck again!

In Saboteur, you play dwarves digging for gold in the depths of a mine when suddenly, the pick-axe breaks, and the lantern goes out. The saboteur has struck again! But who is the saboteur and will he (or they!) stop you from reaching the treasure? If you succeed, gold awaits you. If you don't, then to the victor goes the spoils. Whoever has the most gold nuggets after three rounds is the winner.

A 3-10 player path-laying card game where each player has a role and no one knows for sure what that role is.

Great card game. Agreed it works. Best with a larger group.

Got it already, but heat for a brilliant game
Use this game all the time- with the family, with friends and I take it to the youth club too! Everyone loves it!

Have you tried Secret {1930's German Chancellor}? That is great for large groups but takes some getting into as it is a bluffing /secret identity game. Can pick it up as a print and play on bgg. Had some great fun with that one (and some not so good games as well but depends on the group!).
Maybe a good game but you have the wrong price. Put the name in to Google or hit the Get Deal button and the first thing you see is £8.95 from the company that supplies them and it's £1 delivery.
Anyone know the difference between this one and the one on Ebay for £4.11 that has a different front cover?

You're right thanks, think it is because I already had something in the basket that was skewing delivery. Updated!

Looks like the German version and despatched from EU. Can download the rules in English easily enough and the cards don't have text on them

Ignore me, prime delivery for 9.47 but is German version. I'll update title with both
I've also added link to English rules in description. The cards are pictorial only so getting the German version (and downloading English rules) is OK
Thanks OP, bought for me and my nerdy friends to play next time we have a board game meet up

While we are on the subject of "path making" games, did anyone ever play a game called sorcerer's cave? I bought it at a car boot when I was about 7 and it started my journey into "fantasy" board games... Loved that game, I even used to make my own cards... Yes, I was that sad!

You are welcome.

Never heard of that one, was it cooperative? Played one recently called Escape the Dark Castle. Loosely inspired by the old Fighting Fantasy books it terms of style

It could be played solo, competitively or cooperatively.

I was a big fan of fighting fantasy back in the day... I remember when I was about 9, my mum took me to a massive book shop in Plymouth and I bought as many "choose your own adventure" fantasy books as I could with my birthday money! There was another series of books called "Lone Wolf" that I think were derivative of the "fighting fantasy" ones.
They were great though, as the abilities and storyline carried on through the series and you unlocked certain paths in future books depending on what options you picked.
