Looking at SSDs, this one is hight spec (3450mb/s read, 3000mb/s write), with good reviews. Getting on 60% the price of other brands with the same spec. Pretty sure it's not quite as good as the top brands, but that price for a 1TB...

It's been like this for last 2-3weeks, still very good price and reviews.

And it was cheaper the weeks before with the code. I’d wait until it dropped to ~£100 again.

It's actually just gone up £3

Got one last week and put it in my lad's MacBook Pro to replace the puny 128Gb, very impressed with it.

To the OP, the Phison E12 based drives like this are actually some of the best all round drives out there currently, blazingly fast, low power and runs much cooler than most. You need to spend a lot more to get something marginally better.
I bought this for £107.99 in June. Anyone who's waiting for it drop further in price, I wouldn't hold your breath. The pound will continue to weaken over the next 3 months and the chances are the cost of computer hardware will rise because the exchange rate against the dollar deteriorates faster than the reduction in cost. Buy it now.

I am thinking of doing the same in my early 2015 MB Pro, which adapter did you use and are you noticing higher temps or more fans?

The one I did was an early 2015 too, it's the best candidate to do this with and this Sabrent is considered the best drive to use too. No issues with temps or anything else for reasons stated before, it's the top pick on the macrumours thread which is considered the Bible for this mod.

I used the small Sintech adapter as it's a better fit for double sided drives like this one. I got it direct from Sintech as that's considered the best source to guarantee not getting a might work, might not clone/fake. Few quid more than some others but still less than a tenner and well worth it to be sure, came from China in three days!

Only other special thing you need is the pentalobe screwdriver to get into the thing, mine was £1.50 from a UK ebayer.
Many thanks for your reply, I will order the Sintech now.
... and ordered :-)
I am not to sure if it will fit to dell precision 7510 hmm.. any idea?
How reliable are these? Will they come slower over time? Surly better to pay extra for Samsung evos?

So many questions , not many answers
I have one of these. Very happy with it!
Just purchased, thanks. Hopefully no compatibility issues with my Mobo. It does have a M.2 slot, but are they different types of M.2 or are they all the same size in terms of length?

A lot of extra for not a lot of improved performance

Different sizes the "2280" is the width/length, check your mobo supports it. Probably should do unless its really old.

Got this back when it was £98 last month, no issues and speeds you will never need

I have the Z97x G5 but googling it only tells me it support m.2 rather then which exact one
So i have this.. It's awesome. Buy.
Was looking at this for a while, but the day I went to local overclockers store they didn't have it, so got myself Wd sn500 500gb. I just needed to replace my Samsung 850 evo 256gb which went to my old system with 4930k and 16gb 2133mhz ddr3, put cheapo gtx 750 ti and media pc for my other half was ready, no need for 5m hdmi cable from my pc to let her watch what she wants. I got myself 3700x and b450 carbon. Works like a charm. Stock cooler havnt seen more than 65 while gaming.
might be like 70 pounds come black friday
I bought this drive and it rocks. Ignore the reviews about sector size, there's a utility on their website if you want to change it. Personally I just did a fresh install and left the sector size at 4k. Great bit of kit!
i bought it and its only giving me 800 which is alot less than the 3400 its supposed to give

You may have M.2 6 or 10Gbps SATA=750MB or 1250MB, and not M.2 PCIe x4 (4 lines x 8Gbps=32Gbps÷8(1Byte it's 8bits)=4000MB/sek theoretically max bandwidth of that slot
