I've got one. Tool free, works with any 2.5 data drive. I've had mine running ssd's and traditional hdds. Cable is the same at each end, which is kinda useful, as it is a more robust connection than USB mini in most situations. supports latest spec transfers, so as long as your pc or whatever supports USB 3, it'll probably be the drive speed that bottlenecks Ya.

Down sides are the drives are a little bit bigger than standard portable drives from seagate/wd... About 10mm longer.

Heat from me.

Thank you. Order placed.
Grr just bought one yesterday at £7.89
Got 3 of these and they are great for the cash. Using them to add extra storage to my consoles.
No mention of trim support so guess it doesn't?
Great find OP! I’ve got a few of these and I would highly recommend them. Easy to get up and running and works without fault.
How much was the clear one that was on here a couple of days ago?
Does not provide enough power for hard disk . Only for ssd which can work on usb power
Good case, recommended.

It might allow running TRIM manually. Most, if not all USB enclosures don't support TRIM as standard.

I thought so, so people using this for SSD best watch what they are doing.
Ordered one, thank you

Not really a major problem, most people probably aren't using their external SSD for OS type levels of reads/writes, so things like TRIM won't be required much. Been using SSDs in enclosures for years, never used TRIM on one and never had any problems becasue of it.
Worth noting that this does not come with a USB splitter cable for providing extra power.
ive got 3-4 of these, and they support 1 TB HDs with no problems, without need for a splitter cable.

Also the USB3 at each connectors are much more robust than the standard ext'l cable.
