I was looking for some fast storage for a new PC build. Saw this on amazon Germany. Price is £194.22 or £189 if you use a fee free card like Revolut or Monese. Saves about £30 off the Uk amazon price. Includes a 5 year warranty if you register the drive on Sabrents website within 3 months of purchase otherwise warranty is one year.

This is QLC based SSD. Which is worst than TLC based drives. Biggest issue is price of this SSD, few weeks ago (last Dec) members here paid less than £190 for TLC based Sabrent drives. Now they are pushing QLC for the price of TLC and expect buyers to not notice.

I was just reading this review- so they did change the BOM then? Buyer …I was just reading this review- so they did change the BOM then? Buyer beware is as relevant today as at anytime- doubly so with SSD manufacturers. Sneaky little wan#ers.https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/9288/sabrent-rocket-nvme-4-1tb-pcie-gen4-2-ssd-review/index.html

No didn't change anything apart from price. Blue/black label is still TLC based, which is now cost £240+ @ Amazon. Blue/White label is QLC based.

I guess if they've called it the rocket Q that means QLC, although sneakily adding a Q to the name isn't the clearest way of informing customers they're not buying the top end device they thought they were.
The listing clearly displays "Color: QLC" in the heading and the description also states it's QLC. I don't see this as dishonest in any way shape or form. Furthermore the labels and their colouring are also significantly distinct.
