appears to be a £5 or £6 delivery charge to add

Thanks, bought one of the alarm clocks. Worth a go!

the alarm clock seems to be down from £100 to £30.

I am sure these SAD light type of items used to be really expensive?

Could be useful for some, might get one at the weekend.

Cyber Checkout? Who are these people when they are at home? Trustworthy?

Yeah very.

Still a lot of money for what it is , better off staring into a led torch aren't you?

I think I do actually have this at the moment, I'm hoping to see a doctor over the next few days anyway, but this could help I think.

Last week I was in Florida......think I have this S.A.D thing now !

The light from a torch would not be as powerful as the bulbs supplied with these sad lights.

I believe from colleagues SAD lights were discussed on GMTV this morning and BBC News. There is lots of information on their web sites about how the lights can help you, especially with the clocks going back this weekend.

I checked the net this morning and some SAD lights are still around £200!

i have bought various things from tents , marquees and netball stands to casino tables and have never had a problem although they did decline my quidco which was a bit annoying

I'm sure I read somwhere that these SAD therapy products are exempt from VAT. Is that coreect?

Looking at the picture. Either these units are very old (10 years) or they must have visited a museum to get hold of that monitor and that keyboard.

:-D Waiting for that PC to process anything may be contributing to her depression.

Maybe she is a grandmother now.

Well I've bought the sunrise clock - have looked at these for a couple of years and never bought for a couple of years due to the cost.

At £30 plus postage (on an item which costs a third of what I have seen in the past - it annoys me that people moan about a fiver postage) its a great price. If it was £35 with free postage would you be complaining????

Due respect and heat added to this brilliant find - cant wait to try it out for myself during these horrible dark winter mornings.

Thanks

Barry

I was going to buy one too until I found out they charged extra to deliver to the Highlands!

How come many other companies manage to deliver here (main central trunk route - not as if we're on an island) without charging extra?!

Flipping disgrace in this day and age.

This is the one I have and although £115 does make a difference. I think it does make a difference. ]http//ww…ark

Need to look at the lux rating and some are a bit dody on quoting ie 10,000 lux at 3 foot away is not comparable with one that give a rating of 10,000 lux (as this is probably the rating if its touching your nose)

I read alot before I bought it and I dont think you can really go to the doctors to diagnose it. You sort of know it that you struggle with winters / dark nights and mornings.

Thanks for the re-assurance. I ordered the 'Day Light LUX Wellness Light'. I forgot to go thru quidco though, so I feel really SAD now :-(
But at least I still have a sense of humour ;-)

BTW, I see that you are based in Cavendish Road, Stevenage LOL
I used to work pretty much next door to Cyber Checkout then (ICL/Fujitsu). Fancy me having never heard of you

The lux rating is very important - only ones over a certain lux rating have been shown to make any difference. I can't remember what it was but if anyone is interested I can have a look.....

you need at least 10,000 lux. I have the philips one. I bought it second hand from ebay. It cost over one hundred new. I am getting mine down this week and having half an hour in front of it a day. A good site for sad sufferers is

Marsha from Cyber here,

We don't charge exra to the Highlands the couriers do. We use 4 different couriers and they ALL charge extra to the highlands of Scotland. All our customers can come in to collect in person or arrange their own courier - We DO NOT make any money on postage!

If you really want one of these clocks then I will personally take it to the post office for you but I cannot do this for every customer as much as I would like to. And I cannot guarantee I can take it immediately it will be when I can get to the post office.

If you want to place an order you will need to phone in and do as the system will charge you the courier price.

Marsha from Cyber here,

Oh how funny is your comment. I am very embarrassed to admit that the photo was only taken last week! The computer used probably is 10 years old lol. The lights only came in that day so they wanted to get a picture up as quickly as possible. I will see if another one can be take with a nice modern PC, complete with flat screen.

STE04 here

i received my clock but it didnt work

Basically - your eye has a third receptor, that helps produce a homrone called melatonin and can be stimulated by Blue light.

This has only been discovered recently - but the production of melatonin helps you become more alert, awake and stimulated i.e. you feel better about yourself.

Hence you see a lot of Truck Drivers with Blue LED's in their Cabs, to help the production of melatonin and to keep them awake lol!!!!
