Massive bargain this
Great machine.
Sage by Heston Blumenthal and everywhere else it's a Breville !

No cheaper in Aus (it's an expensive place) but in other countries they are and they are using celebrity endorsements to push up pricing.
JL price match?

It's not the same company as Breville in the EU.

en.wikipedia.org/wik…lle

They sold the EU brand rights/name in the 80's and thats why they use Sage here. We get similar comments on other threads as people mistakenly compare them to the Breville brand we know in the EU, which is comparatively bottom basement.

brilliant machine and a great price.
The same costco deal was posted a few weeks ago but well worth another plug.
There were 3 on the shelves at liverpool last week.

Sage\Breville(Aus) ended their association with Blumenthal long ago. His name just kind of hangs on to some of their older products.
Probably wishful thinking, but hoping for a sub £500 deal on the touch
Will John Lewis Match

Don't see the point of the Barista Touch personally. It's sold as some sort of automatic convenience but you still have to do the tamping and presumably the dialling in, making you the one variable that can screw up the brew. And I think you'd still need to pre-heat the head and portafilter so it's not just a case of grab cup, press button.

Ideally want the Oracle, but way too expensive

The touch at least gives me the auto frother (I drink coffee with milk). I tried it in JL and was impressed with the foam it produced. Better, by some margin, then any other home machine i've tried.

Great price for this, had mine for 8 months and I bloody love it
These machines definitely last, I've had mine 7years, only been minor changes in that time. Watch out for the new water filter, it's a £16 replacement every 3 months, and no 3rd party equivalents.
