This is a great blender at a superb price. Very good all round blender that is very close in performance to commercial blenders used in the likes of Starbucks and Costa (Vitamix, Blendtec). I have never seen it this cheap!

I know some of you would think it is too expensive for a blender, but for many people who use cheaper brands and have to go through one every year or so this is a very good deal for a quality product.

Kinetix blade system has wide sweeping blades that push ingredients up into the path of the central chopping blades.
Five speeds for multiple blending tasks with specific smoothie and ice programs that count themselves down for 60 seconds.
LCD task timer allows you to precisely follow recipes.
Ice crushing blades turn ice into snow in seconds.
1.5 litre capacity super tough triton plastic jug.

I have these genius instruments which are controlled by thought, waterproof, adaptable and numerous. These are fingers. They tear stuff.

I bet the recipe book is a corker.....

I don't buy anything "endorsed" by
a celebrity chef as so much of what
you pay goes into their already
overstuffed pockets. To pay £120
for a blender is pure madness. I
remind myself a bit of Ebeneezer
Scrooge but I still think this is a
duff deal. Anyway, as it's Christmas
I won't vote cold.

What a pathetic ridiculous thing to say. Firstly some of the best blenders used in bars etc are over £400 and get bought because the buyer knows they are worth it in the end.
Secondly, what does it matter if it has been endorsed by a celebrity or not? A good deal is a good deal.

Seemingly, this is a well respected blender

Not as bad of a deal as everyone is making out but it is pretty niche. You have to love your food and kitchen to spend this much on a blender. Personally I have a blender attachment for my Kenwood Major but I would happily part with this much for a quality appliance I know will last but I was also a chef for 10 years of my life so I'm pretty keen on my food

Most people will see blender and £170 and just vote cold but hey ho.

Cheers for taking the time OP.

Think Heston is different to a few of the other chefs, anything he endorses he rates as high quality. He got offered millions to endorse some Aussie dross wine but turned it down. From what I heard of him seems a chap with principles so wouldn't be surprised if this was a quality blender. High end so not for me but useful to a few people no doubt.

Heat added, they are amazing blenders.

Yes, I really wanted a vitamix, but this is nearly just as good. Great for cocktails and Cushing ice.

These are great, as I said almost as good as a Vitamix which is amazing at their price, below is a review by America's Test Kitchen:

I really do not understand the hostile votes, its a great blender at the cheapest price I have seen.

This is a decent price for a blender that can be used my many people to make healthy Green drinks, frappes etc.

The similar Vitamix and Blendtec blenders are £300+

for me though, i would go with the Magimix Le Blender which is £10 more but comes with a 3 year warranty and solid 5* reviews
