This product now has £400 off! You can buy it at a reduced cost from a range of retailers but John Lewis has that lovely customer service and 2 year warranty.

Those in the "coffee business" will either love or hate this... regardless, an extra £400 off is nothing to stick your nose up at!

All details of the coffee machine can be found through the link

Don't know why I bother.

It's only your first deal!

Some people have a great deal more money than sense.
The £400 pretty much covers the Heston brand tag, shame you’re still paying £400 for the Sage name tag and £200 for the pleasure of buying at John Lewis... £595 would be about right
Does Heston know much about coffee?

Eughhh... Typical HUKD. Putting personal opinions over a good deal. Regardless of your petty thoughts on the machine, its price, or the sponsor, £400 off the price tag is a massive saving.

Don't know why I bother.
Far too expensive for a normal person but have some heat for the amount of money saving.

I'd happily spend £1200 on an espresso machine. Just not this one. But £400 off is £400 off. Except that it's always this price most other places.

Just because something is cheap, Or cheaper than anywhere else,Doesn't automatically make it a good deal if it's considered to be overpriced in the first place, Then you have the right to vote it cold. To me a bucket of dirt for 100 quid is a bad deal, Even if it is the cheapest bucket of dirt to be had.
Good price if this is what your after.

If it had to be a Sage, personally Id go for the dual boiler around £999 and a Eureka Mignon grinder for £300.

Lot of money to spend for a single boiler but the compact form factor may suit a lot of people.

Undoubtedly £400 is a good discount if someone has their heart set on one of these, but some deals you just know will go cold anyway, purely based on the price for what you get Vs much cheaper alternatives that basically do the same thing.

Also, and I totally understand the temptation, but OP complaints at things going cold like the one above is the best POSSIBLE way of ensuring the temperature plummets!

Well you bother because you thought it was a good deal and also bought one Not putting "please be gentle, my first post" didn't help things, but seriously some will have benefited by your post and should'nt stop you posting future deals.

A good discount, FWIW all Sage appliances come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty as standard, and excellent customer service (including a free white glove service to set it up and show you how to get the best from it).

The Sage discount is nationwide as there is a new model coming next month:

If I was buying, I'd purchase from Lakeland who have IMHO much better customer service than John Lewis and offer a 3 year no ifs, no buts customer satisfaction guarantee:

lakeland.co.uk/193…OUK
Good price for a very good machine, had mine for a year now, never misses a beat, and they come with a "White Glove Service", where a little man comes out and shows you how to make every kind of coffee.
