I’ve done quite a lot of online research on ice cream makers lately and this one one with a lot of bells and whistles - literally (it plays a jingle when the ice cream is ready!) gets my vote!

Lmao. Plays a jingle .... I hope it is the weightwatchers jingle... sold!
Heat for being the best price around but its gonna take more than a jingle to make me part with my money.

YESSSS! This is exactly what my lockdown body needs. More ice cream!
You can buy a lot of Ben & Jerrys for that
Any recommendations for self cooling ones but cheaper?

Yeah but you can make ice cream much cheaper with this than if you were to buy it from a shop, and of course you know what you are putting into it, and you can make it any way you want. This is unlike other desserts where making them yourself can cost a fortune compared to buying them outright.

The only downside to this machine is that it's BIG. I wish I had space for one.

I suppose if you are going to eat more than 27 litres of B&J (other cheaper comparable brands are available) then you might consider buying a maker more economical, although you would still have to factor in the price of ingredients

One of the issues with commercial ice cream is that it has way too much sugar. That's both to keep it softer and also as a preservative. Not to mention all the low quality ingredients. It will be a long term burn out of the investment, but it's worth it for many many reasons, hehe.
Nice find @LPV88 and welcome to hotukdeals. I will not be showing this to my daughter, she'll demand I buy her one.
Certainly don’t recommend this is purchased as a substitute (economic or otherwise) for buying professionally manufactured ice cream (not that I regularly do) but as a hobbyist dessert maker I have been after this particular model for a long time and when I have been price watching, it’s rarely been in stock at this price.

Making your own ice cream with....cream as in ice cream is amazing. Easy and delicious

Ice cream with zero fat...I'll give it a go but doubtful.
They said the syn free humus was good, it wasn't.

But surely that is the whole point of buying this??
In my view it’s to make homemade desserts. You can of course substitute your home made creations for buying pre-made, but if you think you are going make economic savings in the long run by doing that, I think you are likely to be mistaken.

I have a kitchenaid ice cream maker and it makes amazing ice cream - the best ice cream I've ever had by some margin is homemade ice cream that I made myself. Shop bought ice-cream is seriously awful.
I agree, I prefer homemade. I’ve made excellent ice cream at home.
