I bought a large bag of beans from Starbucks when I was in there and they ground it down for me but was too fine so have to use a half dose with a soft tampering. I am going to order some Arabica beans and just picked up one of these from Amazon which have had positive reviews so I can grind down a better dose. I have the milk on full heat and lowest setting for froth

If you use the pressurised baskets then you have a fairly big grind size 'window' so you can use cheaper grinders (sub £50) but I suggest avoid the 'spice & coffee grinders' with blades which chop rather than grind.

If you want to use non-pressurised baskets then I suggest a grinder capable of grinding well for espresso - you can pay anything from ~£150 to thousands so it depends on your budget but Sage's own Smart Grinder Pro is widely reported as a good match and can usually be found in the £150 to £180 range. You'll also need some time, patience and good fresh beans to get the best out of the machine although if you're only making lattes/'cinos then the milk will help smooth over not-great extractions.

The automatic milk steamer is really good and has 3 settings for temp plus 3 for 'frothiness' so 9 combinations plus you can do it manually.

I bought this machine new at £199 but took it back because it just wasn't a good fit for me but I was impressed by how quick it was ready to go from cold (about 5 seconds!) and the automatic milk steaming. You get a lot for the money and in a small neat package.
