Was in the Bexleyheath branch of Asda and near the entrance had an aisle of half price items. Saw this Freeview Recorder - 160 hours - marked down from £90 to £45. Could not resist. Score quite highly on reviews.
They had 6 in store last night so presume it is not a one off. Good luck

I dunno if it was the exact same make or model as this but they had a box for £35 when I was in today at ASDA.

has anyone seen any in the Glasgow area?

Worth correcting brand to Sagem (Sage mike, not november)
Seems a very low in store price ie a real "HUKD" - presumably store specific?
Discontinued model per other retailers though still live on Sagem UK site.

Some of these PVR boxes are terrible.

Ive had two digihome and digifusions which one day just refused to turn on and the other just jittered on recording.

Be carefull

None of these in Aintree for anyone who was thinking of looking. Couldn't even see a space for them on the shelves.

I've had a Sagem PVR for at least three years and no problems (OK it's locked up a few times - but so do all the other PVRs I've read of) - the worst of it was a very poor remote but using a multi-function programable from Aldi gets around that.

You need to go by reviews for this specific model as every manufacturer has good and bad models.

None in the west mids area

My Sagem is still going strong after 3 years. I agree the remote is a stubborn sod, but it usually works if you press the on button harder. whether it genuinely makes a difference or it just takes more pushes I don't know, but only missed a couple of programmes starts over the last 3 years.
Does this one allow to record onto USB pen?

i did a check of reviews, usually 4.5 out of 5

my experiences with pvrs has been mixed
sony stopped working when the programme channel stopped signalling
thomson was tempremental
digifusion had the wrong psu to run safely without crashing
touchwood the bush is fine but has been slow

One on my local store but the idiot was taking it OFF the shelf. He scanned it anyway but it came up as £90.

He suggested I ask a manager so I went in next day and was tiold if it was round the back it was there for a reason and no, they weren't about to find out what and no, they weren't interested in selling it to me.

Totally agree i had the same until i bought a humax 9150t best thing i ever bought !! Dont touch this even at £35 in a few months the picture will freeze on recordings and cannot be repaired !! Buy Humax for around £100 yes alot more expensive but totally reliable

90% of Digifusion problems can be cured with a new power supply. Unfortunately, the 4TV Interactive EPG is no longer being transmitted and, although many carry the digital tick mark, they don't fall back to the basic default 7 day guide. That means you can only automatically set timers from Now and Next, or manually.

It's a shame really 'cos the Digifusioos (FVRT145, 150 and 200) weren't bad at all.
