I have a sagem MYX7 I use when I am cycling - as its the only phone with swappable covers I have which I guess offers more protection.

It is charged all the time and is on the same batter when new in 2004.

It has been through the washing machine - and after being left to fry out on the vents of my monitor was fine after a couple of days.

Brilliant phones - the closest I have had to indestructible.

A further quid off from quidco too - and free delivery to your local shop if your order is under 25 quid - and free to your home if over.

It looks pretty slim too.

Some pretty favourable reviews of this phone around.

Good find

That i find hard to believe, i doubt any electrical appliance would work after being submerged in water for an hour

my n70 is fine after being put in the washer (wifes fault ) panic drying in the dryer ( wife again lol ) then being left to dry inside my pcs case lol changed the battery as after its poor adventures it only held charge for a few hours but 1 year later it still works perfectly well.

Voted hot as this will do for my 10 year old daughter until she goes to "big" school in the summer:thumbsup:

It's not uncommon for phones to work after being through a wash. They need to be dried out for at least 24 hours, preferably with as much stripped off them as possible, back, battery, sims, memory cards etc. There's no guarantee and they sometimes fail at a later date due to corrosion but definitely worth a try.

:xAbsolute piece of garbage have had to take my sons back twice to Woolworths, who replaced it without querying and hes now on his third new phone and number too, Virgin pathetic! Doesn't charge very well either.

Why change your number 3 times?

What was the fault exactly?. You can't really go wrong with a £12.49 phone. If it breaks after a few weeks then you're only out £12.49 and you've always got 1 years warranty to fall back on anyway. Most reviews of this phone suggest its pretty good for the price.

screen breaks easy on them son had one for xmas broke with in a mth

Get a nokia from Tj hughes or Woolworths ..which can be easily unlocked and are much realiable as compated to these.

You can get it from TJ Hughes for £9.99 + delivery (£2.40)

anyone whos got one did it come unlocked?cheers

i have got a few fones from whsmith and although they are 'on orange network', they come with an orange sim pack, seperate, contained within the box, but seem to be unlocked, as i put 'genie' sims into them and they worked perfectly fine. hope this helps you decide.

sorry to sprinkle on the fireworks but this is £9.99 in TJ hughes. instore, not sure about online.

Got one of these from Asda a little while ago for use with a Blyk sim (see this for how to use Blyk on a non-mms phone.)

This phone's worked very well for me. It's very basic but does exactly what I want it to, as well as reminding me as the screen on my old Acorn Electron computer back in the day!

It's very, very thin and can easily slip into pockets or even a wallet that'd hold a couple of credit cards together. I personally have this phone and another together with an elastic band as they're both so slim they equate to the size of a phone from a few years back and I just have to flip them round to use one or the other! May not be the height of fashion, but hey...

Battery life is good, not as good as low-end Nokia's (let's take the 6070 as an example) but will last a good few days, or closer to a week if you're only using it for the odd text.

You can also use new Nokia batteries (the type the 6070 takes) in these phones, but not the other way round for some reason. Found this out by accident!

isit unlocked do you know?

I would like to use this on vodafone. It's says it comes with orange sim but does anyone know if it'll work with my vodafone one?
