Take it this is the new blend?

Love this stuff-my favourite!

Nice drink!

Used to love the old recipe of it ,but on trying the new one its not as nice at all.Think theyve cut down on the vanilla in it and neither the aroma or taste is as nice.

This used to be one of my fav drinks also until they changed it to this crap, morgans is better, i refuse to drink this till they change it back

Morgan's Spiced is 20% off at Sainsburys but tonight's the last night - its strangely a closer match to the old nice Sailor J's than the new varient is.

hi guys, i work for William Grants who produce this and bottle it up here in Scotland. I will pass these comments on to the relevant person if you like. Just PM me your Email addy and i can then pass it on to the right person

I Wouldnt bother mate. Working in the trade myself its nothing that hasnt been said or discussed many times before!
The new recipe is here to stay, and since it changed sales are actually on the rise

Why did they change the taste? the old version was much nicer

Agree with most other posts and most other opinions - as an original Sailor Jerry drinker, this new stuff is awful. They changed a beautiful drink into sewage. Haven't bought a drop since.

Agreed old version was better

The "new" stuff is actually really nice if you squeeze some lime into the glass, if you miss the vanilla flavour, pop a little extract into the bottle.

£12.99 is a great price for it, not quite as cheap as if you know someone who works at the factory though! I love my cheap bottles.

agreed with everyone else. shame i used to love the old stuff, in fact when i heard they were discontinuing it i bought the last two bottles from the off licence. i thought they changed the taste for the american market (cant remember where i heard that from, probably drunk down the pub lol)

Sales were rising because of the popularity of the old recipe, people were asking for it in bars etc, then they change recipe, many pubs are acting now ( too late as always ) and not realizing the recipe has changed, for example my local wetherspoons used to get thru bottles of this stuff per day! and sometimes it was out of stock! now the same bottle has been there for weeks.

Another example, my local asda starting stocking it, and it was hard to get hold of the old recipe when it was around, and now there are 20 bottles of the stuff on the shelf without any sign of shifting! furthermore, they even tried to get rid of these bottles at the last fathers day! by lowering the price and trying to say they were the 'perfect fathers day gift' lol! yeah right! nice try!

They can't be selling well!!!

HOT! After a party this weekend I'll be needing another bottle.

I agree the old recipe was better, but Sailor Jerrys is still my drink of choice.

This has been runied. Old recipe much nicer and alot of my friends have stopped drinking it just as it was getting popular!
