First post so be gentle folks. Using the double nectar points offer at Sainsbury's offer I bought this Sainsbury's taste the difference magnum of prosecco using effectively £7.25 worth of nectar points! Really nice prosecco. Can't believe Sainsbury's put this on a deal at the same time as the double up weekend!

It's getting hot in here ;))) So hot!!! Thanks for posting Yorkshire_Lad. Going to go and clear them out tomorrow morning, I've just got so many nectar points I need to get rid of :P I love alcohol but I love alcohol more when it's cheap! Christmas here we come!

so what's the cost then? £14.50 ?

Tapi " so what's the cost then"
It appears to me the cost is £14.50 or if you have Nectar points£7.25.
Quite clear I think. Heat added

My favourite prosecco, and I have 40 quid of points. Heat.

Wow...this is brilliant for Xmas...thanks for sharing OP

This is lovely stuff too - heat

Impossible to boost £7.25 worth of nectar points, its done in lots of 1000

How does this work? Just goto the checkout with my nectar card? I have a few quid on my card.... Is that all I have to do?
Thanks.

I think this is even better deal than the OP makes out after reading the T&C's.

Min is 1000 Nectar points usually £5 now doubled to £10. Bottle is £14.50. So using this voucher takes £10 off the price making it £4.50 for a magnum of sparkling wine. Sounds Good!

If you buy this please be careful handling it. We had a bottle explode when we pulled it out of the fridge by the neck and my husband still has a piece of the glass embedded in his hand. Also had to throw away most of the contents of our fridge as the glass splintered into thousands of shards. The neck of the bottle is very narrow compared to shape and weight of the rest of the bottle.

Really - are you sure?
Don't you need to add on the £5 you would usually get for 1000 points - so £5 + £4.50 = £9.50 if you only buy this product?

Go to the customer service desk where they'll be running a Double Up event. Can exchange your nectar points for double amount of vouchers here.

well, really you need to add on the £10 the vouchers are worth in store so £10 + £4.50 = £14.50
you can buy many other things in the store (electricals, beauty, wine and desserts?) at a rate of 1000pt to £10, so that's what they're worth. the deal is £19 of prosecco for £14.50. how you pay for it is not relevant, otherwise we'd have hundreds of separate deals posted for items up to £20 at 'half price'.

good first deal from op though, and handy to show the different ways of paying .

Thank you Anthony
Got a few bottles of vintage cava also :o)

This is a good deal. The Prosecco is good stuff at a good price already for Magnums, plus the double nectar deal adds up to a great way to buy some bubbles.

I just bought 5 bottles but was disappointed they didn't accept my £9 off a £60 shop voucher, apparently not valid on alcohol despite definitely using these in the past on alcohol!

I bought a bottle today, used £5 worth of vouchers doubled up, got a voucher for £2.25 off when spending £15 or more. I got a 50p packet of biscuits and paid £2.50 , very happy thanks op.
Going back for another bottle tomorrow.

They should have accepted it! They don't accept the voucher for spirits and liqueurs but wine is ok

Thanks op. I managed to get my points to just over the required amount needed to get a £20 voucher. Bought this and a bottle of the cava which was also on offer at £7 so ended up paying £1.50 for both. This is a storming deal and deserved to be a lot hotter!

We just had a bottle of this very stuff randomly explode on us too! Didn't even have to touch it.
