For the money you can't complain.
The beater and dough hooks would be that much if you needed replacements!

I already have a Kenwood hand mixer and just use my own bowl, I am wondering if this would be any better. The Kenwood is a cheap but decent unit, but if you look in the manual you're only meant to use it for a maximum of 120 seconds before having to turn it off for at least 20 minutes.
If it won't last very long then I wouldn't bother spending £7.99 on it, I'd rather put it towards something better that will last longer.
I guess the problem is that these items are so new that there's no-one that will have had it for very long to give any indication.

Really good price! Good as a Christmas gift for a budding baker.

I see your point, I have a stick blender that says only to use it in 30 second bursts in the manual, which is stupid i thought (I now think it is just to cover there own backs for warranty purposes), I have just used it how i want and ignored this advice its been proper used and abused over the years and still works perfectly i think iv had it about 5 years now! So just go for it i say nothing lasts forever but at 7.99 if you get your 12 months service out of this. Then that's good enough and if not you have your 12 month guarantee and can take it back and will get a refund/replacement so you cant lose really at this price!

Not often I get to get something on here before sold out. Got this mixer at a very good price. Used it already. they had 5 more left on the shelf. (Beckton)
