As per title, packs of 6 x 25cl bottles of Sainsbury's Abbaye Beer are £2.49.

This beer is 5.6% ABV and is described as 'A rich tasting beer, full of sweet, biscuity malt flavours & a refreshing bitter hop finish'.

It works out at £1.66 per litre / 94p per pint. When you think that the regular 2 for £16 offer on big packs of Becks works out at £1.62 per litre / 92p per pint, then this has to be worth considering.

Not tried this yet, but its got to be better than the usual crap for £2.50!
I had some 'Cologne style lager' own brand beer from Sainsburys once which was really nice, just like Kolsh, the real thing.

I also tried the 'Cologne style lager' own brand beer from Sainsbury's and thought it was nice. Despite its name, the label made it clear that this beer was brewed in London by the Meantime Brewery.

This Abbaye beer is brewed in Belgium, but 'An Abbey, Abbaye or Abdij Bier is a Belgium beer style but is not necessarily made in an Abbey, or even by Monks. It may merely be an imitation of the Trappist style'.
