Does reducing veg that are about to go out of date count as a deal? This happens every day in every supermarket. Plus most are doing the Xmas veg for 30p with dates beyond xmas. Cold I'm afraid

Not a freebie, just how hard is it to post it in the correct place COLD
Heat added. Whilst I get why people are voting cold, the amount that goes into landfill at this time of year is ridiculous and this actually help those on lesser budget.
I’m not going near a supermarket at 8pm tomorrow or Saturday let alone on the hope of getting reduced fruit or veg

Just how hard is it to use the correct punctuation?
Based on the comments I'm amazed this has gotten so much heat, have some more, think I'll pop to sainsburys on Saturday night now that strictly has finished.

Helps them to pay more for out of date veg than it would cost for fresh at any of Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Lidl. Great deal. Should be freezing.
Any info on the Salmon OP, the whole salmon?? Noticed a lot for 24th, any idea time scale IF they will be reduced??....
and thanks for the veg info HOT !

Subjective issue. Technically it won't be out of date, it will be reduced to clear due to shelf date however numerous organisations do state that veg is OK well past its shelf date. Also, if you're using it the same, next day or even 2 days later should be fine. Personally I'd rather pay for quality produce as in my experience it lasts much longer than the cheaper competitiors but that could be how my local tesco and asda store it. Every store is different.

i dont know but you can ask when the during usual reducing times normally 6-8pm, they will reduce 2-3 times before they bin, you need to catch them in the last segment, also depends on the staff, some are happy to do if you take up to them as it saves their time sorting through, same for bakery as well
Ty op,have some heat
Some veg wars going on
Everything in my local Tesco seems to expire on the 24th! And they're still trying to sell it at full price. Guess it will go down Saturday afternoon or Sunday
best before means nothing, I bought some carrots recently dated 26th and I'm willing to bet money they'll be eddible mid january.
It seems my store must have missed the memo as there was no sign of them reducing it.
