Got this a couple of years ago and despite having a good credit score I was given the huge limit of £1.000.00

Never used it and I keep it open just to make them lose money sending me letters.
They have to send you a credit agreement through the post to sign, and it takes 2 weeks to get the card and pin, just bare that in mind when applying.

Any way to do a soft check for acceptance on this anywhere?

Strange, anything with BT in the title usually goes stone cold!

Got the 31 month spend card from Sainsburys and surprisingly they gave me a 10k credit limit.

I applied for this a month back and despite having an excellent credit score, I got a whopping £2800 limit! Was really disappointed. Applied for a virgin money one 2 days later and got a £9k limit. And the service from Sainsbury's has been really poor in comparison.
I've had a Sainsbury's card for around 6 months. Got 10k in credit despite having another 14k on other cards.

The Sainsbury's card doesn't have contactless which is quite frustrating

Similar experience by myself
At least I got a Limited editions Batman Meerkat out of it!
Despite having a perfect Experian credit score 999, was given a £3k limit with a 1.5% BT fee within the first 3 months, then 3%. Very disappointing!
The process to apply for one is ridiculous.
i sent my documents off a week ago and I’ve received a letter again today asking for the documents again to be sent to them.
copy of passport and council tax bill was what I sent in.
the copy has to be signed on the same page not the back of the document.

god knows why Sainsbury’s have this archaic process. I’ve had many credit cards in the past and never had to jump through them hoops.
I got limit of £9k, that sorts out my finances. Thanks
Is this the one that has 29 or 30 months interest free on purchases and do the purchase have to be made within the initial (3month ?) period?

They have a 30 months at 0% balance transfer card, with a 0.55% fee. So it's not as good because of the small fee but the service I've got with virgin is so much better, and with the higher credit limit, its really relieved some finances for me!
The most backwards bank I've ever used. I've never phoned a company so much.
