Can you see in the T&C's if previous Sainsbury's bank card holders can apply (cancelled mine in February of this year)
"Extra rewards with every basket
Also, like with all our credit cards, this one lets you collect Nectar points wherever you shop. You'll pick up 2 Nectar points for every £1 you spend on Sainsbury's shopping and fuel, and 1 Nectar point for every £5 you spend elsewhere. †
"
~ so ebay give you 1 point per £ + using this card you get another point per £5 ok thats looks good.
~ cant see what the rate is for buying overseas etc?
does anyone know if Sainsburys bank have a mobile app that you can use for this card?
Requirements to earn the "up to £37.50 in nectar points" mentioned in OP:

"Collect 750 bonus points each time you spend £35 or more on Sainsbury’s shopping with your credit card, up to ten times in your first 2 months, that’s 7,500 points".

Thanks for the info. It's kind of a deal breaker for me. Good deal though.

Apparently they are working on updating it but they haven’t given any timeframe for it, I got it nearly 2 months ago to make a large purchase so suits me as won’t be using it on a daily basis and will only need to go on to make payment once a month
Won't be applying for another sainsbury's card after being rejected last year. My credit rating on Experian is 999/999 and never been refused credit in 20+ years. Clearly not interested in people who pay their bills every month and they're not going to get much interest out of

From personal experience, I would avoid Sainsbury's bank. I was a victim of online fraud and whilst it got sorted, every month they tried to charge me interest on the fraudulent transactions which would lead to me making a monthly phone call to sort. Customer service was also very poor and I just wouldn't use them again.

Not always to do with your personal circumstances, banks like Santander and HSBC are also notorious for rejecting people who don't have a history with them...perhaps they dont care about the experian score. We're not able to know exactly what their criteria are outside of just financials, I've had no issues with Sainsbury's cards/loans over the years.

Don’t see a reason why not?
Sainsbury’s online credit card UI is diabolical. It’s like something stuck in the 90’s, and has been that way for several years now. Struggle to beat some of their interest free offers, but their online banking interfaces are just embarrassing.
If you are looking for a new CC Sainsburys are one of the most difficult to get even if you have a very good credit record / history.
and in this financial environment that the last thing you need. Keep it easy just go for one of the main banks the government is giving them a lot of free money to lend better possibility of being accepted.
i already have sainsbury credit card can i bag this deal? what does it mean 0% spending length: Up to 26 months buy now pay up to 26 months later?

I got accepted for Sainsburys Credit card giving a good credit limit and got rejected by Santander simply pointing me to Experian.
I have access to my experian file and there are no issues. The acceptance mystery continues..........
Was just accepted, thanks! Anyone else still waiting on a confirmation email?
Thanks op got £5k credit limit for 18 months. Heat

May be they have a monthly allocation to achieve if you apply towards the end you miss out.
I had a sainsburys credit card and online management of app was virtually non existent or very basic.

I had to raise a section 75 claim and even tho i was with the 0% promotional period they then started charging me monthly interest, apparently something in T^C's anyway they did credit the interest back eventually and did settle my section 75 claim in 5 months mainly because i proposed a settlement figure just so i could leave them.
Personally id use Natest or Nationwide if they have decent deal. Used them both for years for banking, mortgage, credit card and loans and never had a problem plus apps and online banking and customer service better.
To balance out the negative - I've had a Sainsburys card for years, and never had a problem with their customer service.
I bought my Monarch flights through it, and they refunded within days of Monarch going under.
