not a national deal - why is a site called UK deals allowing a one off local deal to get promoted in this way?

This site is going to the dogs
Found some wenslydale with apricots 80g for 1p...Hayes store ...I got 60 of them but might be a few left!
Stilton is freezable if anybody can get it at this price.
I'm going out on a limb here, but maybe this site is called 'HotUKDeals' because it's for deals that are hot in the UK, not necessarily hot throughout the UK. But if the site's so bad, why do you waste your time on it?

Again, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you're (thankfully) a one-off and not national, so why are you called 'GuyUK'?
Also in east kilbride so NOT store specific

How harsh! How rude!!

The OP has posted a fab deal! Ok it may be store specific, but who cares. 1p cheese in my book in a flaming good price.
was going to pick a couple of packs up earlier but it looked like they were starting to turn mouldy. should have told the staff really

Actually it is in my local as well.
Found it in Leicester (bought a few, there were a good few left though)

HOT!
@GuyUK even if its not nation wide, would it better to not post and not share?...

Good for those than can get it... thanks for posting.
Seems a tad expensive

Well said
Use by date is 5/1/13, has previously been frozen and returned to chilled.
Just sayin'....
Loads of 1p cheeses in Bristol Ashton Vale branch. Picked up some truckles, won't go off for ages.
a pound of Stilton for a penny... how has this not gone nuclear yet?

Just worked out that it's £22.05 for a tonne!

Actually it is a national deal.

It's excess stock from Christmas and all stores would receive it.
Stores that have stock will have it as 1p.
I bought this before Christmas and was happy to get it for half price - £3.
If that was in my local Sainsbury's I'd buy the whole rack, take it home and make a giant cheese fondu in the bath!

God i love stilton currently munching at one i bought for £3 at sainsburys last week its nowhere near as good as the Aldi one i bought before xmas though, despite that id suggest broccoli and Stilton soup and freeze that.
Will probably be so cheap as its moldy ;-)
The printed price should mean its is national as these are normally sent from where they do price changes. So not store specific like the rude person said.
Yes,is a national,deal...Just the Xmas cheese left over, which is close to date!
Just tried to buy some from Local, and staff refused to sell it to me saying product recalled & when i asked why & took a photo because they wouldn't give me their names, would not let me leave the store with 3 members of staff shouting at me, how do i acquire cctv footage as definitely putting a complaint in about the staff there as it was priced on the shelf at 1p & shouting at a customer would definitely need them to do their store training again i'm sure.

If you leave cheese in your book I am sure its pretty stinky................
I loooove Blue Stilton and saw it half price a few days ago...but I don't think I could eat that much! Still, if I found it for 1p I'd snap it up, give the other half to my brother, who's also a cheese lover.
Stilton is freezable too bargain shame sainsburys is shut now and did someone mention a sell by 5/1/13 ?

Always keep your Stilton well wrapped in the refrigerator and preferably in an air tight container. This prevents the Stilton tainting any other foods in the fridge and stops Stilton being tainted by them.
Properly wrapped Stilton will keep perfectly well in the fridge for a couple of weeks after opening. During this period, it will continue to mature and will become creamier in texture and develop a more mellow flavour.
For longer storage, Stilton freezes beautifully. Cut into handy portion sizes of 150 grams (6 ozs) wrap in cling film or foil and keep for up to 3 months.
Defrost in the fridge or a cool larder for about 24 hours before use – slow defrosting is essential to stop the cheese becoming too crumbly. Once defrosted use as normal but eat within a week and do not re-freeze.
