(Had one of these yesterday, when the family were visiting, they are really delicious, mind you wouldn't pay £5.99 )

price always used to be £5.49 and went on offer £2.74 so an increase in price.
it is nice though when warmed up and topped with ice cream.

It's called inflation and happens. Half price is still a good deal even if they've put the price up. Hot from me.

None in any of my local stores - seem store specific.

mm lovely. Going to pop down to get one. Only buy these when they are half price.

Looks wicked, need to get my teeth into that! Thanks for the post!

Not as good as it looks
I wouldnt buy another one
its really dry

hmmm inflation at nearly 10% me tthinks not

yum! these are lovely, however I thought they had stopped selling them a while back ? not seen one in my local (stoke) for some time...

Don't forget to buy cream at the same time...these cakes are DRY..................:x
Okay at under £3....not worth a penny more, though.

These things seem to be always half price. £2.99 might as well be the full price!

They're not dry, they need to go in the microwave for about 30 seconds first - says so on them. They also freeze well too.

Actually it used to be £4.99 and £2.50 on offer. It keeps sneaking up in price, but it's the best cake you can get.

Half the time the price is nothing to do with the supermarkets. The increase in price is to do with the supplier upping their costs. Thus meaning the supermarket has pay a higher price so they have to up their prices too.

Store specific, happens every 2 months in my local store

Hmmm... grabbed the last one at my local sainsburys after seeing this posted, and was full price still so not nationwide reduction:whistling:

Nice cake though!
