Good 1/2 price offer for a fresh Corn on the Cob (leaves still attached)

I'm aware that a Corn on the Cob twinpack is currently on offer at Tesco but this offer expires today and is pre-packaged.

The offer expires on the 27th August.

From the thumbnail they look like parrots
Leave in the husk.
Microwave 3 minutes
(Hold it with a towel on the chopping board)
Chop the pointy end off and push from the bottom (removes all the strings)
Pinch of salt no butter needed yum yum

I suppose better late than never for Sainsbury after Lidle seeking it 3 for 99p and Tesco 2 in a pack for 58p
Bought 2 yesterday. Love them
Love sweetcorn however think Sainsburys mini frozen corn cobs are much tastier than the fresh cobs.

Anyone know how much the farmers are likely to get for each cob?
Note: you must peel back some of the leaf to check the corn inside.
Good deal

I checked last week and they were mangy. Good this week so had to have some.
45p in Aldi for a two pack ( no husks ) but at least you can see what you are buying .. with the husks on you can get some really bad ones .. especially at the very tips
3 for 99p in Lidl at the moment as well.
Tesco doing 45p twin pack until tomorrow.

Bought 5 for a pound few days ago from local Asian shop in Bury. THE sweetest sweet corn I've had in my life.

Not paid much attention to farmers cobs before...
Thanks very much for posting love the corn like this. Makes you wonder why it is stripped and packed in plastic wrap when it’s comes with its own natural wrap. I would definitely prefer to buy my sweet corn like this all year round. Just shove them in the oven and it has its own steam bag in the form of leaves. 20 min at 180c. Heat from me

This is not really a deal. Lidl and Aldi are aslo selling it at 35 Pence.
Good deal, I have as juicy and nutritious as these are, don't eat too much or else you get the runs!
nice. mum says you're a lucky person if you find 13 lines around vertically.

??? Sweetcorn doesn't grow in the UK all year round. If you're worried about plastic, which is made from petrochemicals, you might want to look at food miles and transportation costs. Just a thought!

Laziness, well not really laziness
It's understandable people to want to have to remove a corn husk also appearance
We want our fruit to be all colorful and perfect a lot of fruit and veg gets thrown out because it's wonky or whatever stupid reason
