Why would someone vote this cold, unless they're vegetarian? :whistling:

Hot from me, last time I voted such a deal cold I got baaaaa'ed.

Whatever happened with their half price steak? I went in three days on the trot to get some (all in the morning) and none on the shelves. Hope its not the same with these babies.

We have a deal on 7 day dry aged Fillet steak.

I think it's 1/3 off but I'm not 100%

£7 a kilo seems dear to me (although it tallies with the Tesco Value price)

I get chump chops from my local market. Surprising how many the chap chucks into a carrier bag for a fiver. They are frozen and from New Zealand, but they seem to cook up lovely.

There were plenty of half priced steak at my local Sains at Stratford all weekend!
I ate so much steak this weekend I vowed never to eat any more heavy meat for a loooong time. Until I saw this post that is!

These are horrible, I bought some on the weekend. Mine were full of fat and bone shrapnel as they cut so close to the bone.

I am always disappointed when I buy meat from Sainsburys or Tescos. Not only is the quality poor but it also seems more expensive.

I now use a local butcher who does great prices on mince and chicken breasts, and his other cuts are really good quality and often cheaper than the supermarket. I still buy most things from the supermarket but usually call into the butchers on the way back from the supermarket.

Does your local Butcher keep dripping?

Mine did until quite recently - I queried him about it,.....& he said he did indeed use to keep dripping, but that he'd had it sorted at a Harley St Specialist.
