Beat me to it.

Thanks for this!
Great 1st post - not everybody takes note of that fact though ey?

Good spot!

nah it is a great price. just highlighting its the permanent price, so you dont have to rush down there and stock up...

Have been using this for a while (orange top) .......good price.

1 % fat milk? this is horrible, might as well have water with my wettabix, suppose ok for a hot drink though!

used it before and seems similar to semi-skimmed, no where near as bad as the long life stuff.

Aye taste is somewhere between green and blue top milk, and far cheaper. Worth a try anyway at that price to see if you like it at all. But yeah, permanent price.

Lidl are selling Semi-Skimmed 2litre for 97p if you prefer that.

I cant really taste the difference between this and green. Green is 2%, Orange (this) is 1%, Red is 0.1% now red is like having white water! - If you really don't like the orange top milk you can get at variants for £1 at farmfoods.

Farm foods sell full fat and semi skimmed for 1 pound per 2 liters. But actually that is quite a lot more expensive, because 4 pints are 14% more than 2 liters.

About the taste: nothing beats full fat in coffee, but as long as it is not completely skimmed (0.1% or something), I am fine with it.

I really can’t distinguish any difference in taste between this and semi-skimmed milk. I wouldn’t touch the white water, skimmed, stuff with a bargepole but this 1% fat milk is well worth a try for a quid.

I'm cooling this one down for shockingly atrocious grammar and spelling alone!

Also posted at least twice before - but none the less a good deal and another user here who reckons it tastes no different from the 2% stuff

I thought that too mate but i've tried it and it's not bad. Like others have said, skimmed is now labelled up at 0.1% so this is somewhere in between

Not voting because it's been like this for months, but good deal if you've not seen it before

you sure you are not confusing it with skimmed (0.1%)

tastes the same as semi (2%) stuff to me, and i HATE fully skimmed.

I think other big stores have their similar brands - Asda has a 2% option for just over £1, Tesco has been doing FreshnLo at a good price for about a year (might have gone back up this year?)

Bit of an over the top celebration i`d say !!!:whistling:

Its been on the shelf in my local store for months at this price, and been mentioned on lots of milk-related threads too. I like this stuff - can't complain, £1 for 4 pints.

My partner swears blind this tastes same as semi-skimmed, but personally I don't think it does. Definitley worth a try for a quid though cause I think a normal four pinter costs around £1.60 so a saving of 60p a week for us cause he uses one a week. Also this has been around for a long time, close to when they first brought it out i think but good reminder for anyone who hasn't noticed it. Thanks OP

Have been using this for 6 months now and my husband and son couldnt tell the difference between semi and this. great price.

hows this a deal... its just its normal price. always cost £1

They have only just started doing this in my local store. My hubby moaned I didnt get "normal" semi-skimmed, so I gave him a glass of each to see if he could tell the difference and he could easily. A good price though.
