Sainsbury's Sardines in Olive Oil 120g - 41p - Online only.

This is probably a bit of a niche deal for people that prefer their sardines in olive oil and who shop online rather than instore. Or who are planning to use the service. I think it's a misprice on the wesbite as the normal price for this product instore is significantly higher. But I might be mistaken...

If you are familiar with the tinned fish section in Sainsburys, then you might know about the difference in price depending what the Sainsburys Sardines are in. The sardines in spring water, tomato sauce and sunflower oil all retail at the same price. But the ones in olive oil are significantly pricier instore. Well at least they were last time I checked, but maybe I'm mistaken. I wanted to go and check the price instore but haven't been able to find the time. I do eat sardines regularly and there was definitely a big difference in the price before, but recently I haven't been shopping at Sainburys often. I did however decide to take advantage of their £10 off a £50 online shop offer this week and that is how I stumbled across this deal.

I am prepared for the potential backlash of posting sardines as a deal and it could get even worse if it turns out that they are this price instore too. This deal could end up colder than my last one and that really was on special offer when I posted it. But saying that Sainsbury's sardines are cheaper than Asda's and Tesco's anyway so I'm not posting a complete stinker.

Hot - for the amount of effort you have gone to for telling us about your love of sardines

haha love the description mate You cant beat a nice sardine!

hot, gotta love sardines!

They're the same price in store so it's not really a deal as they haven't been reduced from their usual price. It's the skinless and boneless ones in olive oil that are more expensive that you may be confusing them with. No harm in posting healthy foods for people though.

mmm fishy.... good price

haha. defo hot ;-)

Didn't know you could get skinless and boneless ones, will need to look for those.

If you love sardines may I suggest the Brunswick Sardines in hot sauce they sell in Tesco, you can usually find them in the ethnic food section (_;)

I only like my sardines in tomato sauce, can't stomach them otherwise.

Couldn't stomach anything from the sea personally but why do you bother eating them if you don't like them?

41p in Tesco for ones in sunflower oil.
