Sainsburys - Save 5p on a litre of fuel with a £50 spend instore

Sainsburys have their 5p off a litre of fuel offer on again.

Spend £50 or more instore and receive a 5p off a litre of fuel voucher for use at the Sainsburys petrol stations.

We just filled up and it brought the price of petrol down to 99.9p per litre. Not as massive saving but any discount on fuel is good and a decent offer if you normally shop at Sainsburys.

Offer ends on the 6th of May

Bum!!! I spent £48 yesterday and didn't know about this!! I could have bought a magazine to push me up over the £50!!

Voted hot as fuel price is ridiculous! Great find as I am going shopping tomorrow and the car is nearly empty!

Great offer. Will be shopping in sainsburys this week!

Kinda neither here nor there when I'm spending 119.9 per litre per useful all the same

tesco have this offer running too

I always think that these offers are unfair on those of us that do not spend large amounts in store - I tend to visit a few times a week as I prefer my food fresh, and rarely spend more than £30 as we are a small family on a limited income.

There was a time when the supermarkets used to give these vouchers for smaller spends as well, but not any more.

...would be great - if they had any left that is! ;-(

As said before; this is a great deal if you're spending the money anyway.

But don't assume supermarkets are the cheapest to start with - this is a great comparison site to check; www.petrolprices.com. It's free but you need to register.

Typical fuel tank size is 50 litres, which would make this a saving of £2.50 if the tank was literally empty and Sainburys' was the cheapest.

well if you fill up all 3/4 cars thats about a tenner so not too bad.

should read 3-4 not 0.75

Just check that website and at my local stations Sainsburys is the cheapest in my area. I always use Sainsburys anyway because it's the least hassle and worth the few extra pence. The local Tescos is full of chavs and in a stupid location and the Morrisons aisles are too narrow . The ASDA is OK but can take ages to get through the checkout.

Just buy something small, expensive and non-perishable (mp3 player or something) and return it next time you go it. Sains are very good for no questions asked refunds. Works every time for me.

If your on a budget where can you find the money to buy an mp3 player.

At fuel prices as they are... 5p is a great discount.

To think what the goverment could do to bring down the prices.. they want to add another 2p! We already have the highest priced fuel in the world thanks to taxes! Gheez

With petrol as expensive as it is any discount is a blessing! Hot deal this

I think they should increase the petrol price to £5 a litre, afterall with the wonderful public transport system we have we should all use that!

There should be a day when everyone uses public transport to get to work and prove to the government that there is no alternative to what we do - everyone would have given up by 10am when the buses missed, or there was 1 every hour. The trains would be replaced by a coach service and people couldn't cycle 15 miles to work!!!

I've voted this hot as everyone who owns a vehicle knows how difficult it is to keep seeing that price rise everytime they pass a petrol station.

Iservice and people couldn't cycle 15 miles to work!!!

15 miles is a breeze on a bicycle, about 1 hour or so. Quicker than many commutes. I do 17 to work on a bike when I'm in the mood to.

It's important to have a shower available when you get there though.

Good deal but no Sainsbury's petrol near us AFAIK

I thought Maidenhead had the largest Sainsbury's in the country and there's another 2 in Maidenehad and another in Slough, but never seen a Sainsbury's with petrol near here. Actually - never seen another Sainsbury's around apart from these 4

well my mum did a shop on monday at tesco and gave me the coupon yesterday to fill up with which i did last night :whistling:

We're lucky, there's a recycled cooking oil depot near us at 95p litre. Doesn't work on all diesels though.

I live in the country and we only have one bus and that's at 6 in the morning.

Public transport is excellent for the city, but hicking prices up to £5 would be absurd.

Buy wii fit for £65 and save as well
